  • im sure this has been said before but those annoying kids will be looking after your freedom when your an old man and might even feed you when some old age malody strikes you down (unless they find old people annoying and then we are all f.....!!!!)

  • hey i live by LB airport and iv'e seen this planes :)

    U.S. Army leads the way

    Hooah!

  • 2 words.. supersonic bomber. Win.

  • Sexiest jet on the planet.

  • i find the ads annoying....

  • The person videotaping should be kicked in the groin for all the shaking.. What--were they having a fricking seizure?!?... And it's RUSSIAN--not "Ruslan"

  • @rockymtnrob65 Ruslan is what the plane is named, just like the C-5 is called the Galaxy or the B1 is called the Lancer.

  • @rockymtnrob65 That is what the plane is called-the Ruslan. Just like the An-225 is called the Buran. Where the names come from exactly, I do not know, but that is what they are called.

  • @336kgf

An-225 is Mriya, NATO name 'Cossack'...

I think you mean that Mriya used to carry Buran, the Soviet shuttle orbiter.

  • @Kodos13 Did I call it that? Dammit, got my plane names wrong. Well played.

  • fuck I got a hard on

  • just saw two of the Los Al AAF F/A 18s land back to back in flight training today. good vid.

  • just noticed that the engines on the an 124 sound a lot like TF-39's on the C-5 and no the b-1 engines are nothing like the F-35 engines, the are four pratt an whitney F-101's the F-35 (F-22) engines are totally different

  • Doesn't this have 4 of the same engines as one JSF or F35 Lightning ... That's insane.

  • @Scarecrowman27 : B1B Engines Four General Electric F-101-GE-102 turbofan engines with afterburners. Thrust: 30,000-plus pounds with afterburner, per engine.

    JSF/F-35 : Either the GE's F136 or Pratt & Whitney's F135.

  • This is all the american military is meant for, impressing children.

  • @TheFlygt Fuck you. I bet you'd shit your pants if you had to deal with a b-1 or ANYTHING from the U.S. Military for that matter. You punk. That's why we're still number 1 right?

  • @LongBeachPits562 Number one at what? Name one war you actually won without using nuclear weapons on civilians.

  • @TheFlygt how about every one we ever fought aside from WWII.Oh no here it comes..he's going to mention Vietnam. We quit..we didn't lose. But if we are as you say then we would have nuked them and won that too.

  • @xraeddie Please tell me about your victories.

  • @TheFlygt I hate to interject on this conversation between you and the rest of the people posting here, but if it wasn't for the U.S. and her allies kicking Germany's ass all the way back to Berlin, the Nazis would still be in control of your nation. Sorry, had to say it. Got nothing against Norway personally.

  • @336kgf The Soviets were doing a pretty good job (albeit with massive casualties) and never forget the U.S. were losing against the japanese until the point they dropped two nuclear devices on Japanese civilians.

  • @TheFlygt Uh...Coral Sea...Midway...Guadalcanal...Great Marianas Turkey Shoot...Phillipines...Leyte Gulf...need I say more? After Midway, the Japanese were never the same. The U.S. and her allies started kicking Japan's ass all the way to Tokyo and then some. The reason why the two bombs were dropped was because if the U.S. had to invade the Japanese mainland, there would have been millions of casualties. Truman agonized over the decision to drop the first one. The second one was inevitable.

  • wait why is there an antinov 124 there?

  • @LordReaper117 delivering a satellite for Sea Launch (based outta long beach)

  • lakewood blvd.!

  • Wow, I had to replay 1:21 because I thought something was wrong lol

  • @tuner562

    lol yeah!

  • @tuner562 I Think ... I'm not sure but I think they can control that and they were just testing.

  • @comsunjava Is obviously a lonely young persian homosexual.

Thus, now we all know the answer to this VERY important question: Why are (intelligent) native women leaving Iran en masse?

Is it lonely at the bottom for you?

    Enjoy your stay ........

  • A beauty of a ship, & may God bless Regan for reviving this cold-war era program in 1980. Jimmy Karter can kiss allah for cancelling it.

  • @FeelthySanchez Kiss allah? You must be thinking of George Bush, who gives those Saudis a nice kiss on the cheek, when he isn't holding hands with them. He knows who his daddy is. Maybe they should pay for the jets, instead of the lowly US taxpayer, who gets stuck with the bill - and meanwhile, Reagan massively increases the US deficit (Bush too), so now we have to go begging to the Chinese. But hey, wonderful plane, take a good luck, cost you a fortune.

  • I wonder if, in the post cold war world, are military aircraft still given preferential flight paths?

  • @SemperFido Yes

  • @SemperFido Absolutely (depends upon payload, tho). Casualties get top priority, rotating pers are next.

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Wait a minute....does that mean we put sattilites in space for the Russians?

  • those kids will be the next generation pilots, there excited.

  • DAMN...I hate it when some dousch-bag videos an airplane...o9r anything else and cant hold the damn camera still. It aint that heavy butthead...whats the problem?

  • @shooteraod .....so don't watch it !!!! you big old dousch-bag

booger brain! all your videos are so boring.

  • To think that Carter once cancelled these things. Silly President-supersonic bombers are for the U.S.

  • a fairly short takeoff for the b-1's looks like a mile or less

  • the best looking aircraft in the world, no doubt

  • That Antonov sounded nasty.

  • B1's sound so great in person

  • great vid

    great plane

  • The LMAO part is hearing all of the car alarms blaring after the second one is gone.

  • I gave this 5 stars. I also act the same way whenever I see military aircraft from this close.

  • cool

  • Nice! I was on the other side of the fence that day!

  • 1:09 Gay!!!!

    lol^^

  • I think the F-14 Tomcat used the same GE engines it was it still in service.

  • LOL all you hear in the background are car alarms.

  • Were you jerking off while taking this video?

  • Those poor AN-124s never look like they're going to get off of the ground. :(

  • @Magicb33r It looks like a 747 with a serious weight problem.

  • thats some HUGE wingspan

  • I remember the first time I heard a Bone taking off... I thought it was the end of the world and I was stuck in Abilene, TX!

  • Always loved it when a Bone would show up for the airshow even though they rarely did any flying, then I got to experience one doing a show.

Holy shit! Epic. Your chest hurts, your eyes hurt, your lil foamy ear plugs seem to get rammed further in your ears and that's before it even passes you.

    Thanks for the video!

  • amazingly short take off

  • yeah good airplane. I flew B1's for about 3 years, loved it.

  • b-1s r rare to see in socal ...

  • didn't find the kid's annoying, i feel like a kid when i watch military jets.

  • That is one honking big cargo jet! :)

  • yeah cargo of nukes

  • I don't think you would like to get a package from it, though.

  • lol. probably not :P

  • it's not a cargo jet...it's a supersonic bomber

  • Watch all the video people. Bombers followed by 1 BIG cargo jet.

  • One outta two made the mission.....in peacetime! That about says it all.

    B one B broke!

  • That thing looks evil ha

  • This aircraft rocks - Hard and I should know. I was on the team the helped build it and maintain it.

  • Thats a sexy plane

  • that is a sexy ass plane lol

  • I sure they would like to play an Aussie team but with all the political correctness and the huge multi million dollar contracts these over grown children get now. someone might break a finger nail or something and then we'd have to hear about how this star athlete will have sit to sit on the bench. And whine about how much his finger hurts. By the way been to Australia next to my home country it's my favorite place on the planet.

  • lol your right about that

  • this thing cost a fortune to fly

  • Beautiful peace of machinery. So heavy and it didnt need that much runway to get airborne.

  • I think the B1 is the most beautiful aircraft ever produced. Obviously subjective. Anyway, it has fantastic lines and amazing performance.

  • That is if it can stay unbroken long enough to get airborne. Beautiful airplane non the less

  • @warrenkm

it reminds me the vegeterian dinasours :)

  • @warrenkm you're right it is beautiful. I got into the b-2 simulator at Whiteman AFB and I had to say any bomber is a joy.

    God bless

  • @warrenkm yeah but the russains made their version of the b-1 and the their version is kinda like the b-1s ugly brother or enemy or something, i in my opinion the B-1b lancer is the best!!

  • @warrenkm

imho the b1 is 3rd behind the victor and vulcan bombers looks wise

i saw a b1b at mildenhall in the mid 90s its easily the loudest thing iv ever heard in my life the ground was still shaking when it was airbourne!!

  • sebastian must be young, back in 1973 a group of English rugby players made fun of american football made fun of the protective equipment so they challenged the 1973 Minnesota viking to a game of rugby with no pads. after about 30 minutes of play the English said hey mate we've had enough you guys hit to hard and run faster than us . I guess that's a about it the only thing less is that really thin book of English war victories.

  • Yeah no wonder, they played an English team. Play an Aussie team. ;)

  • Why didnt they go ahead and bomb the Rose Bowl? I would have been quite happy, American football is such a gay "sport"!!!!!

  • obivously not a member of SOC!

  • A fiarly good vid but may i suggest zooming all the way out and then TURNING OFF THE AUTO FOCUS that way the vid will stay focused at all times and it wont keep going in and out of focus im a pro at these things and thought that would help you out CHEERS.

  • relic of the cold war; imagine what civilian airline technology would be if they invested these kinds of efforts

  • What the civilians having bombers?

  • lmfao!

  • Well we had concorde so it can be acheived

  • Whew !

  • Do the Ruslans fly into long beach often? I've seen a lot of videos of them. Those things would scare anyone in my neighborhood after that would take off. That thing only pitches like 5 degrees nose up, only clearing the fence by 500 or less feet xD

  • Awzom! Tongues of afterburner and wasting taxpayer money... Nothing more beautiful on this Earth. :D

  • looks like a very short runway takeoff?

  • yeah it is. but that's probably because its not carrying any bombs

  • wow amazing video mate your lucky to be there the flames from the B1 look beautiful ^^

  • sdfsdfsdf

  • Its a shame the F22 has been discontinued however the F35 has taken its place.

  • the f-22 is not discontinued i see it almost ever day in Okinawa.. the f-35 replaces the harrier. look it up.

  • they just stopped the production of f-22. There going to make more f-35 to make up for it.

  • America makes the best looking planes. take the F22 for example.

  • Just curious, why do they both sound so different? Well not different, but one is a much higher pitch then the other

  • Maybe it's different thrust inputs when each plane rolled on by. That's really the only explanation for that happening.

  • Mush!!!

  • impressive...i think thats the way america should always design planes

    nice

  • design copied from the russkies, it's a cold war long range bomber.

  • It's not copied from Russian bombers. Your assumption is a bit off. Both countries were working on swing-wing aircraft since the late 50's. Both countries had several cancelled programs as well, such as the U.S. XB70 and more than one cancelled Sukhoi program due to repeated selection of Tupolev for contracts.

  • Hey dumbass

    Tu-160

    First Flight : 18 December 1981

    Introduced: 1987

    B-1B

    First Flight: 23 December 1974

    Introduced: 1 October 1986

    "/end discussion"

  • The Tu-22M flew years before the B-1, yet nobody thinks the B-1 is copied off the Backfire, because it isn't.

The advantages of variable geometry wings are dictated by the laws of physics. All three VG bombers, the B1, the Backfire and the Blackjack, differ greatly in specification. Both Soviet designs are true supersonic aircraft, while the B-1 can only go a little above the transonic speeds. Still, the B1 and Blackjack are a strategic asset, while the Backfire is limited by its range.

  • The B-1 IS supersonic.

  • Well what I meant was that it is supersonic at a bit less than M1.25, while the Blackjack goes over M2.0.

Still, when looked at in an historical context, one can see that the variable geometry design was known to the Soviets well before they invented the Blackjack, so it can't really be called a copy of the B-1.

  • It's actually capable of Mach 1.5 when it's not loaded down with munitions.

  • I meant operational speed. A strategic bomber without the bombs isn't very useful. I'm sure the Blackjack is more agile as well when not carrying weapons.

  • Impressive machines

  • A fucking spaceship.

  • Wow, it's amazing what a small amount of runway these aircraft require, they are up in the air in virtually no time at all!

  • dudeeee so i was playing at lakewood country club one day, and on the 4th hole i spot a huge ass plane and thought to be a russian cargo and not american and daaaaang i was right! what was an antonov doing in LB?

  • Nice video :). I'm a big fan of the "Bone"

  • these things are loud too...

  • amazing on how quiet those burners are compared to fighter jets like the F/A-18F or F-15E, etc.

  • B1 are cool

  • Who won that game?

  • they usually do flybys for the rose parade

  • i like this video it is an amazing video 7 star for this video

  • Dyess air force base is the smallest b1 air base in the country

Ya your close though theres only 4

  • I live by Ellsworth Airforce base in South Dakota the Countries largest b1 Lancer airbase

I've walked through the inide and stood on top while they where fixing them

(Lancers are over twice the size of normal b1 bombers)

  • I do believe Dyess AFB has the largest contingent of B-1 bombers in the Air Force

  • holy shit those things don't need much of a runway. I wonder if they were intending to land them on jungle strips and stuff

  • Sweet, I live near Farnborough, UK and we have had the B1-b Lancer doing her stuff for the last week, we also had an AN-124 delivering 3 helicopters on the 9th July.

  • Farnborough has an excellent airshow each year.

  • you need some tripod for your cam, to make it less shaky. Nice vids. thanx a lot!

  • your lucky day or what?!!!

  • Hear the car alarms going off in the distance. B1B's are the loadest planes ever! deafeningly loud!

  • Eh. Betcha the Blackbird was louder. During a low altitude relight, a blackbird actually collapsed an industrial brick chimney.

  • B1-B's are fucking sexy

  • If that's the case, you must be a good waste of perfectly good oxygen.

  • From what I understand of the B-1, they were designed to fly into a target area at 900+ mph at VERY low level and then come up in altitude at last possible point to unload ordinance onto target, or to come in close and offload cruise missiles towards target. It's their low level high speed capability that is where they have some radar evading capability. I would think then it's on egress from target area where they become most vulnerable.

  • Due to low altitude constraints the B-1 would never fly above .95M if it was using TF and it's limited to subsonic below 7.5K MSL per the T.O. As far as most vulnerable it would actually be the IP to target run where the crew has to make the decision to commit to the attack or defend the jet.

  • The AN-124 sounds just like a C-5.

  • Sounds like two C-5s

  • Err- one C-5. I was thinking of the An-225.

  • that is some serious horsepower

  • yeeeeeeeeeees LOL they had them lit love it

  • B1b... gorgeous.

    Anythin with afterburners... heart stirring

  • is this in israel?

  • very long take off for the AN-124!!!

    see the dust...

  • Yep! ... Are you cousin Ralph?!

  • Your Dad is like one of the most luckiest guys on the planet!!!!!

  • now thats some noise!

  • that was my dad in the window! major John

  • Neatness your dad has a cool job and the B1s are kick ass bombers I hope we keep them around for awhile. We still need to have a low level supersonic nuclear bomber.

  • Yes, B1-B Lancers are good low level attack bombers. They also incorporate the first stealth flight.

  • mmm...no. B-1's are anything but stealthy. They are loud, they have a huge heat signature, and the radar cross-section is very large. The B-2, F-117, and F-22 are the only real stealth aircraft we have active at the time.

  • Not the F-117 anymore.

  • when did they retire the F-117? i thought the F-14 was the most recently retired aircraft

  • it was the F-14, then, the F-117 they have replacements for both.

  • do you know when the F-117 was retired?

  • They retired the F-117 in 2007-08 I believe. They are still phasing them out and getting the most use possible out of them in Iraq and Afghanistan as needed.

  • F-117's been gone for months now. Not used anywhere

  • Oh really? they've already been phased out to Tonopah? I would have thought they would use them some more before they were laid to rest.

  • Yeah he's right its low vis/low detection but thats only if the radar is off the nose and then its actually pretty tough to pick out.

  • Uh.. the SR-71/A-12 did stealth back in the early 60s.

  • Got to see one of these babies do a take-off and 3 fly-bys at Van nuys a few years ago. At full military Power. Wow. God Bless america!

  • Damn, beautiful. Annoying little kids..

  • Why is the camera moving so much? Is it an old camera?

  • might be windy...

  • That is some awesome footage. Got to see them at Ellsworth AFB 8 years ago. The B-1 is one of my favorite aircraft.

  • i used to live near dyess afb tx,god I miss watching the b1 practice

  • Now that was worth watching :)...Thanks

  • dust? thats the afterburner exhaust dude

  • he knows what he was talkin about you obviously dont, afterburner on a AN124?

  • ohh my bad
