lightbehindgod you seem to be some what confused. Alot of ppl see light when they die, doesn't mean it's the light of God. Lucifers name means light, he could be decieving many to think that their going to heaven so unsaved ppl that see a light are comfortable where their at in their life of sin not really getting to know if it's the true light of God their seeing. 2 Cor. "And no marvel Even Satan himself is transformed into and ANGEL OF LIGHT" That's the light that many see and don't know it!!

Jett, you also seem to be some what confused about the loving and compassionate message of Jesus, which was not focused on fear, anger and punishment like fundamentalism is.

Jesus also said that "By their fruits you shall know them," and unlike religious fundamentalist whose fruits are fear, anger, punishment and support of war, people who have NDEs become more loving, compassionate and forgiving. Now, when you look at how Jesus walked his talk, please tell me which fruits are of 'Satan'?

When I read the Bible I do get that separation from God is not a good idea but I don't find this anger jealous God that you fundamentalist find. I find that "God is greater than our hearts" and that Jesus tells us to "Love one another as I have loved you." This is exactly how people experience the Light in the NDE as a profound Love beyond human comprehension - and I am really sad by fundamentalist who focus to the negative and destructive ('Satan') and miss this profound love.

light...: Are you familiar with Carlton Pearson, who had a revelation that Jesus came to save everyone, and did so whether they know it or not. This philosophy allows him to still be a Christian minister (he is now 'new thought'), while getting rid of the doctrine that God will send you to hell if you don't accept Jesus. This way ,he can emphasize the positive, the love side, as you suggest.

I don't doubt anything about Jesus love for all, but not all light is of God. I've read many NDE's on the one's who went to hell and back. Many saw a light but were decieve that they were in paradise or heaven but as they came closer to these human looking beings they turned out to be demons masquerading as humans. Now are you telling me that their lying?! Most do come back changed. You could be the most loving, giving human on earth that doesn't mean u go to heaven . 1 must b born again

I have studied this for 10 years and in the thousands of cases within NDE research only 5% have distressing hell like experiences. However, about 50% have heaven like experiences and around 70% experience the Light.

Forget "born again" or which light is the right light - Its all about THE LOVE of God. When you live or act in the Love of God you are united with God (no matter your faith!) - "By their fruits you shall know them." Its all about the Fruit you bare in your life!

The International Association for Near Death Studies, which has studied NDEs for 35 years, concludes that heaven like experiences happen equally to people of all faiths and religious affiliations AND unlike your 'research' the longer people stay in the light the more heavenly their experience turns out to be.

Merriam-Websters Dictionary: Fundamentalism is the literal interpretation of religion and a Fundamentalist is someone who believes that the Bible is the actual word of God, to be taken literally word for word. As history has been blood stained in the name of God, fundamentalism is something achieved by force through having power or authority over somebody else.

What you are expressing is Religious Fundamentalism and this is a spiritual immature and dangerous belief. I am a Christian too, but there really are millions of people out there that I believe was able to go to the other side weather heaven or hell and come back for a second chance. I know that it's not so important that you or anyone believe in any of these near death experiences though.

Religion is simply man's attempt to put together an organized view of God usually in the filter of their own culture and environment. Christ, Buddha or Jehovah may simply be one and the same entity - we humans probably due to our cultural conditioning simply interpret what we see in an NDE through these filters.

No, this happens some times even though most often in NDE research people meet what they call a "being of light" which is spiritual neutral.

Meeting Jesus is considered a cultural conditioning - a projection caused by cultural upbringing - since in other countries the religious figures people meet depend on their culture. E.g. Buddhist will be a Buddhist religious figure such as Yama, the Lord of Death.

Most often people meet "the Light" or a being of light which is neutral to any religion.
