  • name of the song please

  • their sense of balance after those kicks arent good at all, one fell swoop and its done for them

  • i love kyokushin ! which country is this ? :)

  • @555hansy Read the description.

  • lol the 80's didn't reach russia till the mid 90's.

  • i would suggest he gets a new wrap

  • Why so many shirts under the Gi? Sweading THAT much is not healthy in training.

  • lol kuykuchin gives most focus to kick (off)

    shotokan is focused to both.

this man punch a little hooked.

  • Hey.. wash the blood off your bandage man... it's not like you're hitting walls or something, quit acting...

  • Great training!. I had to turn off the volume. Eye of the Tiger would have even been better. LOL. Nice work.

  • Anyone heard some gun fired sound at the beggining?? Thumb up if yes!

  • @Navyseals3 Sounded like people were hitting pads in the background to me.

  • i coudnt do this kinda video i would be shame of

  • pretty pussy to put somany jackets under the suit.

  • why does he have so many jackets under kimono ? :D

  • @ReikoX7 SO he sweats a lot while he's training to lose weight so he can get into the right weight division for the match.

  • "It's not the style, but the man" (Hanshi Tino Ceberano's quote) A good TaeKwonDo practitioner will beat a bad karateka, and vice versa. Let's leave egos out of it, shall we?

  • @arjybarjy it is about fighter after it is about trainer and then it is about martial art :)

  • @Gza36Chambers 100 % agree

  • in the splits if they don't bounce like that it will hurt more

  • Nice but, Shaolin kung fu is more better and stronker: bruce lee jackie chan & jet li :))

  • The yellow belt guys is fucking good! keep up the nice work!

  • why all the bandage and clotihng?

  • @warriorfire8103 probably coz its russia and its fuckin freezing.lol rocky 4 anyone?:)

  • Everrything brilliant, but CUT THE BLACK BELT GUY WITH long hair, he don't deserve a black belt comparing to the other people from vid! :o OSU

  • russians are very hard bastards

    osu

  • nice split training i loved the yellow belt kicks he puts force in them but they are slow in arms

  • lol 1995 ;p

  • whatever their training is Good!

  • BAH !!!!!!!!!

  • none of them use the axe kick except for kyokushin, maybe shotokan

  • wado ryu does

  • you're wrong

  • well i mean its the only kind of karate that does kicks like tkd, most others just do front kicks and side kicks

  • all forms of karate use the same kicks

  • nope, taekwondo isn't like kyokushin...kyokushi is more hard than taekwondo... i think kyokushin is a bit like mway thay

  • if anything its like karate fused wit muay thai to make something new. they shouldnt even call kyokushinkai a karate style anymore. its like sanshou and kung fu. thats like wrestling, kung fu, and muay thai

  • Kyokushinkai is a blend of Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, and Daito-Ryu, not Muay Thai, although some of the kicks are similar. But the Thai didn't invent those kicks.

  • this is a late response but watever here goes. Kyokushinkai incorporated what muay thai has as its signature kick into their style. While muay thai didnt invent shin kicks, they tweaked it to make it better. like karate and their reverse punch. they didnt make that punch, but they made it better. that "better" kick from muay thai is what kyokushinkai borrowed and put into their style.

P.S. yeah ur right, the monks made all these moves

  • @dss103 Sorry, what monks? I only mentioned Shotokan, Goju Ryu and Daito Ryu. Masutatsu Oyama studied a lot of MA including Kenpo and Judo. Yes, he adopted Muay Thai techniques into Kyokushinkai, but the primary foundation was Shotokan and Goju Ryu. Kyokushin is a hybrid art so it has a lot of influences, but they still call it Karate, just like BJJ is really based on Judo, but they call it Jiu Jitsu.

  • @44excalibur lol i think were arguing about the same thing. everything borrows from everything now a days so it doesnt matter anyways unfortunately

  • @dss103 dude mas oyama has never studied muay thai, he has studied goju ryu, shotokan, judo but also knew a bit of boxing. he never visited thailand. even if they both have the same low kick, so do others have.

  • @MbLancer1 kyokushin is more dynamic with high kicks and punches to the face aren't allowed (kicks are) and they don't wear any type of protection but its definetly not like tkd

  • @MbLancer1

False in so many ways. No martial art is HARDER than the other, it depends on the competitor. The effort you put in will effect the outcome of what you learn. Kyokushin practitioners may need a strong torso, powerful punches and kicks, however the spinning and flying kicks in taekwondo require just as much skill. No one martial art is better than the other, they all have their positives and negatives. Yin and yang

  • @MbLancer1 : The kicks of kyokushin are closer to those of taekwondo than they are to Muay Thai, I think . Taek and Kyokushin both make use of a "snap" whereas Muay doesn't for the most part. And it may not be so accurate to say that Taek isn't as "hard" as Kyokushin as there are forms of Taek that are much "harder" than the ones you see in most competitions.

  • czat

  • how i miss mid 90's karate

  • Thsis music sounds a little like McGiver.:)

  • wheres the combos???

  • o~~o~~o~~~S...UUUU~~

  • Osu!!

  • Osu! Very nice Osu!

  • i hate this music

  • I think some of these guys had years of martial arts training. But good. It's good to see people actually drilling, conditioning, and working hard. The yellow belt moves better than black belts in 90% of karate schools.

  • awful music.

  • impressed with 2:49

  • Very good for a yellow belt He must have had some training before!!

  • that music is boring

  • Yellow belt guy was much better, confident and skilled than the black belt guy with wavy haircut.

    osu

  • good training,gay music.

  • yea the music

  • Good training...This brings back fond memories from a former Karate student...I never forgot the true meaning of the way...I still carry the fundimentals with me every single day...24-7...OSU...

  • Why the video its so old? from 95. Give some new one. But video its nice. Greetings to any krate fighter. OSU!

  • excelent training, boys. I´m 7th. dan of shorin ryu shidokan, but I like evry hard training, no matter what stile is.

there´s only one spirit for truly karate.

    HARD WORK !

  • haha hero

  • awesome kicks!

  • Лохобойники !!! Вы бы видели что такое настоящая тренировка Kyokusihnkay !!

  • hafno

    piar svaim

  • whats with the crappy music o.O

  • 2:49 holy crap

    kyokushin FTW!!!! :P

  • i like how in kyokushin there are so many good kicking techniques!

  • The Yellow Belt has full potential. I'd like to see more posts of his progression. And the bouncing when you stretch as a fallacy. As long as it is controlled. Don't listen to the books etc.

  • todo kulero el vidio bien puto chafa!!!

  • Team Moscow - you`ve come along way, baby!

  • The part that concerns me is the streching . That bouncing is very, very bad. You will feel it in a couple of years, I am feeling it. ( Not from practicing in the Dojo but with friends that were taught that way ) . Your hips ' tendon , ligaments and cartilages will give up. You should do some re-searche about that . Do not be scared to educated youself about how to take care of you body. I got my first Dan in 1990 from USA Oyama.

  • why should they give up from that "bouncy" (dynamic) stretching, when you warm up properly that way of stretching is not a problem, never heard that someones joints fell apart because he bounced while stretching and his ligaments gave up on him

  • I don't agreee really. I understand and agree that static (traditional) strecthing is "safer" but I believe that dynamic stretching is an important part of flexibilty development and training

  • actually sorry i commented without watching what they were doing. They're using a plyometric type movement for stretching which is dangerous, so you're right. But yeah correct dynamic stretching is different

  • A bit stiff on the arm techniques but kicking techniques much apreciated!

  • very good

  • thats the song from tobydog22

  • Chilly in the gymnasium? Who trains with a track suit underneath?

  • you sweat more wearing heaps of layers!

  • cause in rusia it is freezing

  • Good point! ^^

  • 1995 rofl!!!

  • btw, for everyone, ANDY HUG DIE IN 2000 not 2003 or 2004...

  • R.I.P. Andy Hug He was a MONSTER in K1, his spirit lives in the form of Lyoto Machida, just a different style of Karate. Andy - Kyokushin / Machida - Shotokan

  • strong kicks!

  • wow is nice... O.o I use to practice TKD now im practicing Tang soo do.... O.o but i liked this video... to much energy xD

and i saw so many Taekwondo users... that kick uglier that this...

    Tang soo!

  • man that guy is obviously cold hence so many layers

  • its fucken amators :L Im training Kyokushin for few months, and i can see fucken big mistakes, where tha fuck they have guard? yes they are practising but you chave to learn how to controle your hands

  • The sempai (shodan) is quick but I think a faked gedan mawashi geri to jodan mawashi geri would get him. Hands up at all times. Sosai never lowered his guard like these guys.

If one practices sloppy, one will be sloppy in kumite.

    OSU!

  • CreativeThings1, you may be correct about errors in their technique, but after working out so hard see if yours is objectively any better. Remember also that this is a video of training 14 years ago and techniques and training methods have evolved a lot as MMA competitions and influence have spread. Ultimately don't forget that as martial artists we carry a yoke of both physical and mental excellence. When you speak ignorantly you insult the wisdom of your teachers.

  • One more other thing, I have been practicing Kyokushin off and on since 1991 - so let me see that is 18 years ago and my Sensai said the same exact thing 18 years ago. "Keep your hands up kohai or you will get knocked out!" If this Russian fights any of the top Japanese fighters and lowers his hands like this, he will be knocked out. I have seen it happen many times.

  • I do practice what I am commenting on. My sensai already tells me when my hands are dropping due to exhaustion which Kyokushin is so famous for in training. I also asked my sempais and kohais to tell me when my hands are dropping. When I am not exhausted, I am very good keeping my hands up and I concentrate heavily on it. I will not comment on anything that I already do not try or you are right, I will insult my sensai's wisdom.

  • My favorite Kyokushin fighter was Andy Hug, a K-1 fighter who died in either 2003 or 2004. If you don't know who he is you should watch some of his fights, you'd like them. His techniques are powerful and well timed

  • my favorite is Andy Hug and Bas Rutten

  • Maybe, but still...

There are on practice... you get all sweat and stuff XDD

When Im on practice its like super hot. :P

But im fron Israel, i guess that diffrent :)

  • it must be really cold out there

  • Why did he wear all this cloths?

  • that was russia... maybe very cold

  • Maybe he is trying to loose some weight. I did the same thing when I used to compete in boxing and kickboxing.

  • Niceee!!!....KaraTe is my live..<3..

  • oss !

  • well done;)

  • this is a music from pinnacle studio's

  • @seekerjet: I pity you if you wash your black belt. And the fact these guys are good is hard to miss.

@Anasazi2006: Kyokushin Karate is full contact. If you see the bruises on the torso of a Kyokushin fighter after one training, you´ll understand. The other explaination might be...its cold and the hall is not heated.

  • this is in moscow after all.

  • Bien, esto es parte del entrenamiento en artes marciales, pero, las artes marciales, su escencia, es otra cosa, no equivovcarse.

  • Why is that dude wearing 4 shirts under his GI? And wtf is this, that black belt sure needs to go study the art of the flying back kick (The guy to the right who's kicking at 2.15). I mean just look at him from 4.31 to 4.48

  • Marcinekf91, in Kyokushin Karate yellow belt is pretty high rank. it comes after blue belt.

In our organisation belt ranks are following:

white, orange, blue, yellow, green, brown and black. (and of course stripes between all belt ranks)

  • fantastic fighters no nonsense martial arts but i dont agree with belts myself good to establish ranks but i still dont agree with it

  • Comment removed

  • wtf is with that black belt?? He can't even kick well

  • wtf is with that yellow belt?? when i was yellow i couldn't do what he doing!!

    he's russian, end of.

  • 0:13 nossa o cara parece um mendigo

  • I just dont have the perseverance to keep doing the sidesplits. Much respect to poeple who do.

  • very well done, I just started doing this, it really great I love it

  • Nice training folks!!!!

  • wtf is with that yellow belt?? when i was yellow i couldn't do what he doing!!

  • Sometimes they should wash those gis !

  • I think they keep those gi's in that condition on purpose to make themselves look like veterans. Just like ppl who wash their black belts more often than their uniforms to make it grey and worn to make themselves appear like veterans.

  • What song is this? Very nice music.

  • lol they should've edited the part out where misses the bag

  • Very good!

    Good Level!

  • I don't know if kyukushin is like shotokan, but kyukushin is a full contact martial art, but when you are hitting the bag, you hit it with bandages no matter what, unless you want to break your arms and I doubt you do...the 1. guy with black belt is kicking very badly, his kicks aren't at full size, not stretched enough not returning the legs...how can a black belt miss that important things in a martial art?

  • One big word: ROFL

  • you have no idea how exhausted this is...!!

  • You have some nice moves there but the training routine is terrible. For instance, with your kicks. You must train not to throw your limbs, drive your hips into the target and imagine yourself exploding through the bag. Otherwise, your legs looks like spaghetti. And always keep your guard up and imagine the bag as if it were an adversary. Good luck.

  • From the video, it seems that Kyokushin Karate goes for full contact sparring as suggested by the first scene. His knuckes/hand is hardended in order to take blows, it looks good plus they have really flexible kicks.

  • Thats right :P

if u watch episode 3 of Fight Quest from Discovery Channel, u'll see what they do to strengthen their hands and bodies generally :P

    looks PAINFUL :S

  • that guys hands are FUNKED

  • Good training but absolutely gay wank guitar music

  • this music is gay as hell

  • Great stuff, and nice choice of music, loved the teamwork on da splits.

  • Whats wit hthe one guy wearing three layers of clothing beneath his dogi, aswell as half a mile of tape around knuckles that doesnt seem to be hurt at all. It cant be the cold, the others arent in anything else, except maybe a t-shirt beneath. I know, a dojo can be a bit footcold, but you may be a bit excessive here..

  • Its to increase the perspiration rate / sweating. Similar to a pre-boxing weigh-in, when fighters have to wear polythene suits during training to increase their weight loss. It may be used to loose weight quickly, but of course, it is best done under strict monitoring / instructor guidance.

  • whats the soundtrack ?

  • Great training, it just shows that when you go up against a real kyokushin fighter dont expect it to be easy.

  • They have nice techniques. Great vid

  • A very nice video.Thanks for posting!Ochen kharasho!Spasiba!

  • shirts and jackets LOL, if you wore that in the dojo i train in you would be out the door because its a sign that you are not going to train hard and heat up, watch some of the video's on here ever see mas oyama or any of his students wear a shirt under their gi even when they trained in the snow and under a waterfall i dont think so.

  • I don't care about mas oyama, he's dead and we are here. And if they wanted to have a fever after, they should indeed train without anything on in the snow...

  • jacket under gi who the hell else does that

  • the video was recorded in Moscow... Russia is a very cold country.

  • very nice, but why is one of the karateka wearing jackets under his gi ??

  • keep warm or they might be compression trainers

  • I dont know but it look just like taekwondo but dont look so tought!

  • they dont look so tough

  • Those kuy grades have got some good kicks and amazing splits.

  • i respect u guys..but if ur reading this u need to block ur face wen u kick..because u will get kicked in ur f***** jaw if u fight a next black belt

  • not all black belts are good

  • samo nastavite da trenirate jako. napravite makiwaru ako niste nisam pogedo citav video. ali radite sklekove na ruke trcite i udarajte makiwaru bicete najaci

  • respekt to every real fighter!

  • jel ste vi slepci

  • yo godanp, a yellow belt in kyokushin karate is the 4th belt. Not the seconde like shotokan. So that is why is not so bad

  • To the Karateka who is putting blood - stained bandages on his hand - get some new ones ! They don't cost that much !

  • I agreed W U but some Hydrogen peroxide will do the job. Just pour some on the blood stain. It work very good on most of the fabric. Try it

  • Sorry but IMHO this is not good, too much mistakes. I think that techniques are useless. This is good for exhibition. You must train guys

  • lol yeah ok buddy, although i respect your opinion, in a street fight, unless you are going up against someone else that is training, these kicks we finish your random street tough guy. the problem is that now after MMA has become the latest Fashion (thanks to UFC) everyone things that fighting is about the grapple. Trust me a good kick to the side of the hear/neck or even knee at the begingng of the fight would take care of your grapple loving opponant

  • sweet guys God bless

  • Good video and very good flexibility, nice kick techniques.

    Oss

  • good video.... and what about the tournament?
