this is an awesome video! i ran that same marathon and i was only 17 at the time. half way thru i had some IT band problems and iced up but i stumbled to the finish haha. good job guys

Lol, I caught a cab back to my hotel after the race. The cabbie asked me where I was from. I told him Houston. He asked me why I brought my city's weather with me. It was sooooooo hot that day.

I am from Calgary and decided to run Chicago for my 2nd marathon. I watched your 2009 video as preparation. I was in the 5:00 pace groupbut finished 5:25ish, 3 min slower than my first marathon. But it was a great experience - the crowd was awesome and supportive, I can't believe the cheers I heard from the start to the finish line. Thanks for sharing this video.

@mdrkulas i'm so glad that Chicago was your 2nd marathon. no worries about a slower time, it was very WARM on race day. i saw a lot of people in my pace drop to a slower pace. it was rough. congrats on your 2nd marathon
