I do not know Ryan's stand on the draft but I do know he has cosponsored Democrat authored legislation that sure seems to encourage extra troops in Iraq. H.Con.Res.185

Ryan says, "I rise in option of this BILL." WHAT bill? This video doesn't say. And Ryan doesn't actually say whether he is for the draft or not; however, Democrats are typically draft advocates. Regardless, once there is a "need" there will be a bipartisan effort to draft in one form or the other.

No, that's the problem with our party today, we're too close-minded. I'm pro-choice and pro-gun control, but I still think Rep. Ryan is a great Democrat and can really 'go places' BECAUSE of his views. We need to show that we're really a big-tent party and that views on abortion and guns are not what define us as a party.
