It's like this, if you take away my pot, I take away your beer because it is not fair to me that my vice of cannabis is illegal and yours isnt even though yours does so much more harm that my vice does. i respect ron paul for his stance, as i am sure he lost a lot of voters for his position. I have been smoking pot daily for about a year now, totaling about 2 years of marijuana smoking. My grades are better than 2 years ago, and i am the same person i always have been. Pot smokers AND nonpot smokers need to stand for marijuana legalization. the fact of the matter is simple, and the govt/media makes it into more than it really is. Marijuana smoking is a right; excercising it should be optional

And I don't want to hear any arguments against legalizing pot based on crap like "it's bad for you" or "people get adicted to it". If that's the case then we should make all fast food illegal, take chips and candy bars off the store shelves. Make everything bad for you, illegal. What a world we'd live in then. First of all, get your facts straight. Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) has no chemical relationship to Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the main psycoactive constituant in cannabis. Not only that but GHB is not used in the production of MDMA (Ecstacy). GHB is often called liquid-X simply because it illicits ephoria much like ecstasy, but chemically they are nothing alike.

Go out and grab a couple of pharmacology manuals and chemistry books, experiment with a few drugs yourself and then come back and make an informed rational educated argument for or against.
