  • @john42392

Also it was confirmed that Antonov 225 bigger than all Baltic republics

  • When the left bank of engines were throttled up, the Airbuses in the background were melted into ingots and shipped to Boeing as ballast for their new planes.

  • how do you make something that big profitable????

  • Biggest Vodka Burner in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!

  • Vodka Vodka !!!

  • thats so smalll!!! emirate rocks

  • it is ukrainian plane idiots. the word "Mria" it is a dream (translated from ukrainian)

    i am from ukraine

  • @KiTiKman No, idiot here just you. Learn to read.

  • @KiTiKman

Ukraine just likes to make a profit using USSR technologies pretending it was designed from the scratch there... e.g. AN-225.. tank Oplot ... this is sad because even though 20 years passed after USSR collapse Ukraine has nothing to be really proud of...

  • Comment removed

  • If they convert the Antonov A-225 in a passenger plane, it would be able to carry 1500 people on board.

  • That's a flying whale.

  • The sprice goose is actually larger

  • @RecklessDrift nooooo, the paper pelican is larger

  • IT IS UKRAINIAN PLANE!!!

  • mitä eikö ookkaan musaa oii beibe plääää pää loistavaa kiitos

  • where can i buy one?

  • @infernus9876 Gostomel town, Ukraine

  • and "Mryia " is an ukrainian word . means "Dream"

  • @XomaBrut, Russia would create such plane without participation of Ukraine, the plane is even better than An - 225. Ukraine would create the plane like An - 225 without participation of Russia? Answer is - No. An - 225 is Russian airplane and this is fairly.

  • @GiusAppuleiusDiocles "WOULD" )) what r u talking about. it's ridiculous.

  • @XomaBrut

  • Antonov is from russia.it's appears in 2012 end of the world.nice movie

  • Yes man this is a biggest plane.

  • Antonov is the Ukrainian trade mark

This plane was built in Ukraine and carries the Ukrainian flag

It stands on the air field near Kiev.

U can find it in the google map. the key word "Gostomel"

  • @XomaBrut Its was build in the Sovier Union in the Antonov constructive berue funded by Moscow and the Soviet military department .Ukranians are great engineers but in the berue there worked armenias, georgians, russians and other soviet citizens. The iconomical and technical resurses of the Union made this remarkable plane posible its was and achievement of the entire soviet nation.Regards .

  • @BGSlopy so , it is soviet , NOT russian.

  • We speaking is it ruusian-american or european.... just imagine, how many good things it can takes! To any point of planet....

  • Comment removed

  • Russians were tired of using donkey trains to transport their exports to other countries so they built one of these. Unfortunately the cost of creating this beast was more than GDP and ended up bankrupting the country.

  • BIG IT'S RSSIA AND RUSSIA IT'S BIG!

  • Russians wants everything bigger than other

  • I've been there that day and i saw it! its really big, anybody know why it was in mobile??? thanks

  • Wow that's a big plane.

Is Russuian ove couse is big

  • Russians had an even bigger plane called "Лунъ" who wasnt launched. It was developed as an electricity saving airplane (dunno what, why and how) in somewhere around 1960 year and its almost twice Antonov but never seen flight since the project was abandoned.

  • this is partially propelled by German anti gravity technology stolen by the Russians in WWII,,,,lol you people thought this thing could actually fly

  • In America, the planes need more runways

In Soviet Russia, runways need more planes

  • in Sovjet Russia planes fly you

  • HUGE!!!!

  • Is this the heaviest airlane ever to fly? All protypes included?

I think Igor Sikorsky started the trend of seriously huge aircraft in 1913 with the Russky Vityaz, the first 4 engined aircraft ever. Back in 1913 it was so huge nobody thought it would even fly. But it did. Sikorsky was planning civilian passenger planes in 1914 but the war came between.

  • @McLarenMercedes by the way Igor Sikorsky is from Kiev too ))

  • This thing is a fucking beast.

  • @bestamerica umm no they didn't. What you just said is pretty much like saying

"Pepsi had the best drink, until Coke stole it." Which is complete Bull shit.

  • @bestamerica

Sure...I mean, the Spruce Goose had wings, and so does this thing...and they both had landing gear...and they were both REAL BIG, so the An-225 is obviously just a copy of the Spruce Goose.

  • oklahoma47,

    '

yes ussr russia is always COPY COPY STEAL STEAL from america too much,,,

ussr russia is a famous cheat country

  • @bestamerica

They stole the concept of sarcasm from us, too.

  • oklahoma47,

    '

    yes right on

  • @bestamerica you have no idea what you are talking about. They were built many decades apart, have VERY few similarities, one was a dumb and big sea-plane that barely made it of the ground and had only one "flight", as this one is a turbine powered all-metal soviet aircraft intended for carrying awkward cargo and the "Buran" Space-Shuttle. They did not copy any elements, and if anyone did copy a big plane, it was the rest of the world from Sikorsky's RussyVitaz plane, the first true cargo plane.

  • hatakekakashi1914,

    '

    thank for explain,,,

dont use a word - YOU - on me,,,

ussr russia buran did copy steal from american space shuttle,,,

america space shuttle fly plane to outer space many times,,,

ussr russia buran was once or twice and never fly again,,,

america space shuttle with real human people,,,

ussr russia buran use radio control and not real human people

  • @bestamerica ok, I was not talking about the Buran, and yes I do agree it was resembling the US Shuttle and was copied in many aspects, but I was talking about the An-225. All countries copy each other (Euro A300-US 767), and the USSR did most likely copy the most, but yet the aircraft they have can be very unique and powerful. Buran was more technologically capable in terms of avionics, but was to much of a economic factor to be maintained and flew only once. US Shuttle was far more used indeed.

  • hatakekakashi1914,

    '

    alright and thank for explain

  • @bestamerica no problem :)

  • @bestamerica , your bestamerican space shuttles killed 14 real human people in 2 real crush. u are dumpkopf!)))

  • globbymoscow,

    '

    that was accident,,,

    no planes are perfect,,,

ussr russia jetfights are accident and crash, too,,,

no no planes over the world is perfect

  • @bestamerica! look for the article "To fly with Ivan" in Houstown cronicle. your "that was accident" - good reason for technical discurs))))

  • @globbymoscow well said! USA and dummkopf is the same!!!!

  • -Wow that's a big plane!

    - It's Russian

  • that is Ukranian plane. i think

  • That's Soviet plane!

  • @JALLEGENERAL

    nope it's Ukrainian

NATO reporting name: 'Cossack

  • @theredner Designed with Soviet funding so.. its not Russian or Ukrainian, its Soviet

  • @JALLEGENERAL It's not Russian its a Soviet Plane and if you want to take the Soviet union out of it then its Ukrainian and is operated in the Ukraine

  • @Deadsmile100 It's from the movie 2012

  • @JALLEGENERAL The plane is real.....

  • @Deadsmile100 Yea I know, it's a quotation from the movie 2012

  • @JALLEGENERAL Oh a line from 2012? sorry for bothering you lol

  • @Deadsmile100 lol :D

  • @JALLEGENERAL Biggest plane for the biggest country

  • @JALLEGENERAL epic win

  • @JALLEGENERAL don't say about things you don't understand. AN 225 it's ukrainian plane, created by ukrainian designers and built by ukrainian engeneers and workers in Kiev, capital of Ukraine

  • @JALLEGENERAL 2012?

  • @JALLEGENERAL lol ik i saw the movie 2012 too :D

  • @JALLEGENERAL Russia is big, so is the plane.

  • Its Russian... Eeeh

  • isn't it Ukrainian based in Kyiv? I believe Russians were among others who built it back in time.

  • @JALLEGENERAL

  • Comment removed

  • @JALLEGENERAL By the way, in that movie actually is not that plane. In An-225, cargo compartment opens from the front, not from the tail. So what is so funny you say? Humor of 2-years kid..no offense

  • @JALLEGENERAL cuz Russia isawesome like that

  • @JALLEGENERAL must be the 2012 airpalne

  • @JALLEGENERAL

If you didn't know, its Ukrainian plane.

  • it landed in doncaster england yesterday. was too cloudy to see it. but it made the local news.

  • I think its more funnier when someone tries to steal someones else work. The plane is Ukrainian and all these Russians are just saying its theirs. ( In yo Dreams)

For Intel, im a Rocket Scientist at NASA. We buy it from them. Their are actually 15 made already.

  • I live in Alaska..and WE just had this fly in around 10 am and its leaving around Midnight tonight..I live by the airport....I wont be able to sleep...T.T

  • In 2012 dat was a antonov not a c5 galaxy

C5 galaxy only has one tail

    In2012 it had 2

  • so far antonov is the largest aircraft

A380 is largest as in passenger type aircraft.

    Antonov is courier/tranporstation.

ya all can check their size comparison through this

    upload*wikimedia*org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/Giant_planes_comparison*svg

  • maybe you should look at the 225 compared to the huges H-4 spruce goose, it was phased out, but there are some still existing, thus making them the largest plane in the world. but the antonov is the largest OPERATING aircraft.

  • @coolcon1993

Ye, you are right, look to comparison with H4. And what you will see? It is bigger at what? H4 is taller and wider, an225 in much longer. A380 is also taller than an225, but thinner. So what it is the main criteria? Length, height or wingspan? But AN225 is the heawiest plane and most powerfull and thats why it is the biggest, this is the main criteria to determine what is the bigger.

  • @yeugeniuss It also carriers the largest payload at 1.3 million pounds, has the largest wingspan, has 6 engines, and weighs the most? thats why its the biggest and most badass heavy lifter every built in this world to this day and its SOVIET

  • IMPRESSIVE.

  • @mubtasimsirhan,

I hate to burst your bubble, but the C-5 is made by Lockheed, an American company.

  • the 2012 movie they said it was russian

  • In that movie, i think it was a C5 galaxy, Not Antonv, C5 is also russian

  • The An-225 has max take off weight of ~600 tonnes. no other aircraft has reached this size yet since 1988 when An-225 took its maiden flight.

  • please go to an optometrist and have your vision checked.

A380 is big, but when compared to Antonov-225, it is still smaller.

    Boeing 747<A380<Antonov-225

  • 2012 memorised ever

  • dam thats big

  • @g3nov3s3 Mriya in ukrainian means a dream why the hell russians will call plane ukrainian word.

  • is it a stealth?

  • no its a corgo plane

  • :):):):)

  • This thing could seat 1 thousand people..

  • i think it could seat more actually...we have planes that already hold like 300 folks right? i think this could seat 2000 people. i mean fucking look at it!

  • it easily could. when they brought it back into business, i think it was late 80s, they thought of converting it to a passenger airliner. in a 3 class seating configuration it could carry 1500 passengers in 3 floors!!! but i think after a feasibility check they decided otherwise and left it to do what it does best - lift the heaviest cargo loads that nothing else can.

  • C-5 HAHAHAHHAA

    c-5 dont look like an-225

  • They ought to stencil "BIG DADDY" on the side!

  • Looks just like a larger version of the USAF's C-5.

  • it is by a bit not a huge amount but a fair bit

  • It's a beautiful aircraft, coming from an American who lives in Seattle, where most Boeing's are built. I'm partial to Boeing aircraft, but this is impressive. Looks difficult to land. Have there been any disasters?

  • Wrong, its not the biggest airplane ever. But its the biggest ever to fly properly.

  • Wrong on the wrong: it is indeed the biggest aircraft ever built and the biggest aircraft to ever fly...properly or improperly. Please do your research.

The plane was initially built for the Buran (Russian space shuttle); only one flies today, that is the one. A second airframe is being prepared to be operational by next year.

  • Wrong on your wrong sir, the H-4 was the largest.

  • And Wrong on your wrong: the only areas where the H-4 exceeds the AN-225 are wingspan (319' 11" vs. 290' 2", respectively) and height (79' 4" vs. 59' 3", respectively). The AN-225 is 57 feet longer and carries 920,000 pounds more than the H4. wider wings and taller tail doth not a larger plane make. Enjoy the silence.

  • Sort of, only in wingspan though, and it only flew once at 20m, so I dont consider it a plane.

  • whats the biggest plane then ey? im guessing howard(i hope i spelled right lol)hughes's H-4 or H-5 hercules i cant remember H-4 or H-5

  • Man this plane could've probably knocked both those towers down

  • true.

  • Antonov= Ukranian

  • hail russian

  • Why people always call this plane "Russian" !?

It's Ukrainian! It's called "Mriya" which means "Dream" on Ukrainian language... Remember: THE BIGGEST PLANE IN THE WORLD WAS BUILD IN UKRAINE!!!

  • Because when it was built, Antonov was a state-owned design bureau. Therefore it was Russian.
