  • @pascjen I wonder why this tune has 145.000 calls when all the other tunes of 7note mode are also really good. I think I know the answer now. In this bit he is wearing a clean shirt! And it is eaven ironed. That is this secret to getting maximum calls, what do you think? ;-) Alan from Berlin

  • outstanding !!!! thank you for sharing and please keep them coming. This is very very impressive. I wish I can play like you. I play this song on a basic/intermediate level; however, you have exceeded by far!

  • Dear 7Note guy: You're becoming a problem & an obsession. though not always in that order. Every time I have to leave for work, YouTube feeds me one of your beautiful piano solo arrangements!! I tell you, the computer guys are trying to program us, but they won't get me! There's more, but I'm nearly late for work and have to leave. Wait! Is that LAURA I hear you playing? OMG, I need to learn that bridge! I'll have to call in late for work. Don't let the computer guys get you, 7Note guy!

  • Holy shit. O_O

  • God, I absolutely love your voicings, your interpretation, and your overall feeling to this song. You obviously play jazz piano. Who are some of the artist you like to listen to?

  • I still sit in awe at your command of harmony. I wish to have that knowledge one day. by the way can you please not use that stupid transcription program on any of your videos lol? Its ok for simply showing the keys your playing but it sucks at transcribing piano sheet music. I always prefer to see your hands at the piano like this and all your other older videos. I would love to buy some proper sheet music done by yourself and not some crap musical notation program

  • wow, this is beautiful!!!

  • nice piano mixing

  • @netvorful Thank you so much!

  • I can't add to the comments and compliments here--simply put, your playing is incredible. I would love to hear your rendition of Irving Berlin's "What'll I Do?" which is my favorite unrequited love song. I can only imagine the haunting tonal qualities you'd bring to that piece. Cheers!

  • Very very interesting! Thank you! :))

  • One of my all time favorite performances of yours. You have hit it so out of the park on this one that it is in permanent orbit. Re-visiting this is pure affirmation to me of all that is good and brings to me a wonderful sense of inner calmness. Thank you.

  • I dont' know what to say simple as (mouth open)

  • @Delmontedel Thanks for the compliment it is much appreciated.!t

  • I have just "stumbled" across this. Your interpretation is absolutely inspired, your chords are sublime and your touch on the keys like a gentle breeze mimicking the melody of this wonderful song.

    Mike (Republic of Ireland)

  • @Delmontedel haha, thanks!! for the very poetic compliment!

  • Anybody who says that this is a notch below Jarrett's version has got to be off his rockers.

7nm, your 'greatest hits' in my ipod makes my horrible commute much more bearable.

    Thanks, man.

  • @tongatz28 Thanks!

  • Good interpretation.

    So beautiful!

  • Everytime I see one of your video I dont know why, but I expect the same old same old piano composition. Im always delightfully surprised. 5* Do you ever play at clubs or restaurants?

  • Daneywaney, I really appreciate it!

  • Beautiful - Truly Touching...

    Thanks a lot.

  • Wow!

This is almost as beautifully as Jarrett's version :O

    Nice Chord progression too.

    Just Stunning

  • Thanks Mrm0ves!!

  • Just Beautiful!

  • Wow...

I played Jarrett's version by transcription.

But your harmony... it's something unbelievable...

Thank you a lot! I think that I will see this video over and over again...

  • Thanks mihmus.

  • Very original, with good taste!

    Congratulations)

  • very nice...............i don't know what to say...

and your ending is so perfectly moving....

    the silence, the pause....and everything...

you are so blessed!!! God bless you

  • Thank you so much, wonujoa.

  • absolutely beautiful playing and amazing arrangement...other than that, speechless...

  • Thanks, lewisluu!

  • Sounds like you were channeling Monk through Keith Jarrett by way of a church piano. Is that original? Sure it is! Aren't we all just a compendium of everything we've ever experienced? However, I think your analysis of the lyrics is a bit off. Yip Harburg was conveying the death of Dorothy's parents in the song, and the longing to be with them. Oz is pretty obviously the afterlife, from which she returns on waking from the dream.

  • even this old and overplayed tume has suddenly become new and unique, thankyou!

  • Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  • My Lord, I'm not the first and of course not the last one to say that this is (like any of your clips) just amazing, oustanding etc.etc. I believe you know that, but I still wonder where do you take this harmony from? I mean, absolutely-unexpextably-beautiful. Are there any rules? Is there any order in the whole mess of suspended 4+ 7- 9 11 13 dominant and subdom? In any case, I'm your fan!!!

  • Thanks, Imaxim. I don't have any set formulas. I have worked to create an individualized harmonic vocabulary, so I really appreciate your comment.

  • man where are you ? what state? any tips on some great jazz teachers like yourself in LA area california? Man this is blessed music. God is in your fingers young man. (im 34 talkin bout young man lol)

  • Sorry jprauda, I don't know any teachers in LA. Thanks for the terrific comment, though!

  • please do some videos on chord substitutions/tri-tones/circle of fifths, etc. so I can better understand you improvising technique and your thought process when using chords. PLEASE!

  • I can give you the exact chords without all that hard work! Krystal

  • ahh I love when someone not just plays notes from paper, but adds something from theirselves =] my second favorite performance of "somewhere over the rainbow" on youtube.
