I like these commercials as they show a different Ernest than in the movies. With that being said I like the Ernest movies but these commercials are great and I remember some from when I was a kid.

In the old days, McDonald's used to keep count of how many burgers they've sold, so Ernest is mocking Vern by saying since he read their sign, he'll have five billion to go, lol.

Plus, old-school McDonald's bags were white with three stripes of the M arches that were yellow, orange, and brown.

I knew it was McDonald's by the bag and "sign" comment. I just wasn't sure it was for McDonald's because Ernest seems kind of condescending about it. You know the way says "big corporation", and "I like your little hat".
