Please tell me why being a furry is anything to be proud of. I like video games, cartoons, and titties but that's nothing to show PRIDE for. It's just taste. Be proud of what you DO with your life, not what you like.

@clivenishi I don't hate it, please don't put words in my mouth. Volunteering your time to aid the needy, working a lucrative job that you worked hard to secure, those are things to be proud of. Saying "I like anthropomorphic animal-people in all forms of media" doesn't really take any effort, it's just what you're into. That's fine, but making it into some kind of pride movement just comes off like a bunch of people trying too hard to act like people who say "ew that's weird" don't bother them.

We have talked a few time in skype, but, *Sigh* the sad part is that i can't go where he is, because my visa (a document that USA requires for let us set a paw on their country) expired and i can't renew it for now.

It's different for all furries.
Some see it as important as a video game; would sell out the entire fandom for an iphone.
Some see it as a hobby and a means of making money (nothing wrong with that, alot of therians do that).
And I personally see it as the medium I purged my struggles upon and opened my heart to through its members. What I have learned in the fandom and I've accomplished from it affect me every day. I mean... I'm living with a lover in IL because of it.

It's not something you just thrust in everyone's face or attach to everything you do, it's something you should enjoy when appropriate.
