6:20 in my opinion is perhaps the best part of the entire movie. The way the animators morphed the animated roosters into live action men is just amazing and beautifully done I could watch it a hundred times and still be amazed.

The late Aurora Miranda was quite a beautiful woman. I bought this movie on DVD for myself over 2 years ago, then put it on for my then 2-year-old son when he began liking Donald Duck. He loved this so much that he learned some of the dances that very day and sings and dances the entire songs whenever I put this on for him.

This is one of my favorite parts in "The Three Caballeros". Donald Duck is so funny in this. XD Even though this is the Spanish dub (except for the song, which is sung in its original Portuguese), Jose Carioca speaks Spanish with a Brazilian Portuguese accent. It doesn't sound like he's speaking Spanish!
I looked everywhere and could not find it except for one site.This is a site dedicated to mouth harps and this instrument is labeled a Mo Nhip. They describe it as the percussionist version of the mouth harp This is the only place I found it, but it looks correct. One of the things that I love about this song is the way it starts with just one woman singing quietly as she walks down the street and then beautifully escalates more and more until the entire town (even the buildings!) is singing and dancing. And her name is Iaiá, since she made the sweets, they are "Iaiá's quindins". She literally sings "I bring Iaiá's quindins/ Who wants my quindins, buy them" Hope that helps. :)

She impersonates a common figure in Bahia which is the ambulant sweets saler, offering her sweets to the people. The guy´s striped tshirts and straw hat was in fact common in Brazil in the 30´s, instead the mexicanized version of big sleeve shirts and big sombreros hats, of most "Brazilian related" films of the time. That would be a more "acceptable" fantasy film.

The late Aurora Miranda was quite a beautiful woman. I bought this movie on DVD for myself over 2 years ago, then put it on for my then 2-year-old son when he began liking Donald Duck. He loved this so much that he learned some of the dances that very day and sings and dances the entire songs whenever I put this on for him.

This is one of my favorite parts in "The Three Caballeros". Donald Duck is so funny in this. XD Even though this is the Spanish dub (except for the song, which is sung in its original Portuguese), Jose Carioca speaks Spanish with a Brazilian Portuguese accent. I looked everywhere and could not find it except for one site.This is a site dedicated to mouth harps and this instrument is labeled a Mo Nhip. They describe it as the percussionist version of the mouth harp This is the only place I found it, but it looks correct. The instrument on this site is shaped differently, but they have a sample of how it sounds- almost identical to the sound in the movie. If you search for tapping mouth instruement, google shows the fourth link down

One of the things that I love about this song is the way it starts with just one woman singing quietly as she walks down the street and then beautifully escalates more and more until the entire town (even the buildings!) is singing and dancing. ok, mais pode estar seguro que em Bahia ja teve afro-brasileiros, com a cultura deles. Esse tipo de samba me parece uma coisa como samba de salao feito pelo brancos para brancos, os donos da industria musical. quindim is a sweet, dessert. i'ts common in brazil to buy food on the streets, she sells these sort of candies for the ones passing by. And her name is Iaiá, since she made the sweets, they are "Iaiá's quindins". She literally sings "I bring Iaiá's quindins/ Who wants my quindins, buy them" Hope that helps. :)

Quindins is an egg based sweet, yellow and creamy, very famous in Brazil. YaYA is a common nickname for girls meaning little one. She impersonates a common figure in Bahia which is the ambulant sweets saler, offering her sweets to the people. The guy´s striped tshirts and straw hat was in fact common in Brazil in the 30´s, instead the mexicanized version of big sleeve shirts and big sombreros hats, of most "Brazilian related" films of the time. That would be a more "acceptable" fantasy film.

They come out very brilliant and soft on top, a custard like in the middle and slightly toasted coconut at the bottom. My favorite sweet. They look as golden as a wet shining sun!
