  • awww theyre lovely, ive a pyrenean mountain dog, remind me a bit of them.

  • I have quite a few of these type of dogs. .I use mine for protecting the farm. they are very territorial and will attack if anyone comes near.the property.very loving and loyal friends. they love to climb and run..they do like to tie their dogs here in Bulgaria and I totally disgree with this . mine are loose and for this reason are more natural in their character.

  • @hugobear1 ALSO - this dog wasn't born to be tied. In most of the times it become agressive..almost all times. The athmosphere for this dog have to be enough to make the dog to feel freedom. In wide yard, to walk around the nature when you are on BBQ... but to keep it in ''gray'' atmosphere, to tie the Karakachan its like to tie bear... just it will be agressive (WITH THE OWNERS TOO sometimes..which is not normal for this dog)

  • @hugobear1 Plus... as character of the dog, they are agressive to the cats and other animals. I had other dogs before which if grow up with the cats..then no problem, but the Karakachan - in whole Bulgaria still wasn't born Karakachan who can deny cats. So..if you have cat...be careful.

  • @hugobear1 But have detail - Its nice the dog to have contact with your guests in your home OR yard WHILE growing up and bring it our for a walk, example is the park, yes...because the dog is so..how to say...when you care the dog, after is very thankfully (more than normal) and protect you from everybody..sometimes somebody who do not want to hurt you, just the dog have his own way to feel the things and if the dog feel danger for you (maybe in his own standarts) - then attack and become scary.

  • @hugobear1 hmmmm Bulgarian dog Karakachan.. depends how it will grow up, in what atmosphere and how you will be with the dog. I have four of them and they played very carefully with the daughter of my cousin (now she is 6 years old...the dogs played with her from when she was 3 y.o). The dogs played with the kid (then the baby) as they felt that really should be carefully.

  • they look like large border collies, can you get them in australia?

  • excellent dog love dog importation france possible

  • @marto9304 They are not 'bad' with strangers-they will protect the boundaries of the property-in case of intrusion by uninvited humans or foxes.

  • @hugobear1 Yes, they are very good with children and good with other dogs if introduced when puppies.Mechka, Moona and Mishka, on the video(first litter)have gone to very nice households-one is with a film producer and the other two-in a estate in Kent.Second litter-Pixie, Perun, Patch and Petla are 4 weeks old , lively and adorable.
