Actually, if you could find an organist who knew how to treat the organ as an orchestra, rather than a standalone instrument, you could also get quite an amazing sound. Organists are never taught orchestral playing anymore. What a waste. P-W
It really is even more amazing with the orchestra. If you search around you might find us (QC Choir) singing with the NY Labor Chorus at the Riverside Church for Lincoln's birthday. This was arranged by Bruce Saylor, a theory and composition professor at Queens College. I've done this twice now and it never gets boring.
