Thanks for reminding me of Peter Barret's other band! I was a VERY regular fan of Orchestra Luna, later LUNA and Peter's poetry was hysterical! Remember the vaguely suggestive one called "Balls"??? Anyway Karla, YOU have the rare ability to physically give me the CHILLS! I'm trying to remember the rock ballad you did with LUNA that you really got to BELT on! Was it "Johnny Guitar" or another one?
This is typically Karla. Silly, catchy, lighthearted, humorous fun. The giveaway that she wrote it (with Ned Claflin) is the reference to Nietzsche. Karla's other songs reference Freud, Jung and the frontal lobe - who else does that? Karla is the thinking man's Pop Girl. Cuteness with a brain.
Wrote this with the wonderful and highly caffeinated Ned Claflin while downing my first espresso at Cafe Reggio on MacDougal St. in Greenwich Village!!!
