@quinnjacobson Thank god we can still do this in the US without a government license! Chemical photography is definitely for me. The more do-it-yourself it is the more it holds my interest. I quit shooting digital like 4 years ago and my digital camera hardly gets used anymore.
In the bottle of the collodion there's also any salt (like potassium bromide or potassium iodide)? And what do you use for the fiking and developing bath?
@192asso Yes, there's both CdBr and NH4I in the Collodion, also additional alcohol and ether. Fixing is done with KCN and developer is iron, acetic acid, alcohol and water (DH2O).
I really wish I could've joined that workshop. This looks really amazing! Good to see you're using the waiter tray method as I like that method for my plates and hoped to be able to use that when I go shoot bigger plates (but I already said that I believe) ;-)
Yeah, next time I would love to come! Too bad my schedules are such a pain to be very flexible. But hopefully that'll change in the future. It would be great to build something like that over here, a daylight studio for wet plate and other kinds of alternative photography.
MY!. That's a big one!

Nice video, but the noise in the background ... oh I suppose someone might thing its music, anyway ... that was a major detractor from the video.

A private individual can't buy it here. You need a business license.

Digital is a Dead-Medium,my believe.
Analog is the best way to make a Living-Picture. There are more and more People out there who are going back to older methods of photographing.
This is incredible work! The size is Huge!
Thanks!!!!
