Nokia Email service on the Nokia E71

Does the Nokia E71 have Push email, the reason why i ask that is that i need to connect to my email all the time to could see my emails, and when someone sends me a email i need to go into the email and connect it first then i can see i have a new email, and i have to do that ALL the time so i wont be notified if i got any new emails before i go and restart and connect to the email

it's traditionally PULL email; however there are a couple of nifty apps out there that offer PUSH email for your e71

I've configure this and works fine for me. But when a email is accessed by the nokia email, the particular email vanishes from my gmail inbox. if i need to view that email online then i have to go to all mails. Is there anyway to view the mails only in inbox.

I don't know if anyone has this annoying problem....deleting a message on the phone BUT NOT choosing delete from server KEEPS the header of the e-mail on the phone!

This is like the greatest bug in Nokia push e-mail EVER. I want to delete an e-mail from my phone, but keep it in the server, but the header stays on the phone?!!!

The Nokia email service is really good..., when it works...

I have an E71 with Gmail..

Mine seems to function between 18:00 and 11:00..., during the day it doesn't seem to find any thing despite there being a number of emails in my inbox..

Check your settings. You can set the email service to only push during certain hours. This would be good if you only wanted e-mails during business hours, or something like that.

Hi Matt - E71 or the Bold which do you rate more? I know it doesn't make much sense when considering these but Email isn't a big use or concern of mine - I just want the best overall general use in this form factor. Occasional spreadsheet use is a must though. Using a Touch Dual at the mo and want a proper keyboard. Regards michael.

The Nokia Email service is free for now, but will eventually be subscription based. It could be picked up by wireless carriers and the details are not yet flushed out.

This service will remain FREE for those that purchased their Nokia S60 phones UNLOCKED & UNBRANDED at retail stores (does not have to be from a Nokia store). Those purchased from Providers will have a plan or costs to access. HTML email is coming soon.

Watched your review and it was very nice , but I couldn't help seeing that you had changed the theme on the phone from the original UGLY themes, and I was wondering where you got that theme? Would also want to install that theme to my phone when it arrives.

Check out the E71 blog site where you can find lots of themes. The one I use is the Black and Green theme by Bandez.

Very Good review,Could anyone let me know if E71 supports HTML email like newsletters. I mean does it open the email just one click from the inbox. As I realized from this video it doesn't ,but some people claim it does ???
