im impressed by the robots...

But what's the reason for having them there in the first place? To cook? To clean? As far as I'm aware, we can do all those things, too. We're smarter than robots - why do we need them?

I also think this could make us lazy. It is estimated that everyone will have at least 1 humanoid robot by the year 2020, meaning that people will begin to forget essential skills like cooking and cleaning. If their robot breaks down, what will they do but spend more money?

Well if you knew anything since you have the IQ of a peanut, he had patches on his forearms, hands, legs, etc. He either A. had to Wear pancake makeup all the time, B.Look patchy. Or C. Bleach his skin to blend in with the patches.

actaully sony brought the rights to the "This is it" film footage and it comes out on the 28th of october but there are speacil pre view screenings for MJs friends and family on the 27th

I missed this piece of news. It will be great to see the LAST performances of Michael Jackson on a movie screen. The only downside is the fact that this stuff is REHEARSAL footage and not actual concert footage. Rehearsal stuff is rough and probably not as polished as it would be if it were the actual concert.

...but it looks like this is the ONLY new Michael Jackson performance footage that we have, so I guess we should just be grateful for it.

I'm defintiely seeing the movie. MJ's comeback was probably one of the biggest anticipated comebacks this year, and maybe for a while, and now that's NEVER going to come. At least we have footage him to see what we were going to expect. I'm a big MJ fan, and in my opinion this movie will show all his great rehearsals, as well as how fucked up he was on his druge that led him to his unfortunate death.

Atzenk33p3r, those cooking and cleaning robots are on the way lol. 60 million isnt how much the movie costs, thats just how much columbia paid so they can be the one that make the movie exclusively

im not such a big jackson fan so I prolly wont go out, if I should watch it then. There have been movies with way higher costs that still sucked :E anyway who will play Jacksons role in that movie or is it a "real" documentation? Robots so far arent that interesting to me. Update me when there is one that makes food and cleans up :P

I agree with you 100% on the Michael Jackson movie. I probably will go see it. Most likely with my mom. But about robots, I think it's a great idea to develop these things. Eventually it will lead to better prostetic parts for disabled people and maybe even robotic organs like a heart or lung. I can see it being very helpful down the road.

I think that it's a good idea investing in robots and such but honestly $100s of millions of dollars or whatever sum of money they're investing could be used so much better for advancing humanity by building infastructure in undeveloped and developing countries and just general world help that would be so much of a better use of money...

I don't go to alot of movies but it will be a nice memory not quite as special as seeing him live of course which I did but I will enjoy it..I like robots not sure about the price tag though..

lol oh sorry Blake, its not a re-enactment type film. it's only a documentary type film. They will use footage from his last tour with him rehearsing, behind the scenes etc and put that in theaters. I'm sure one with someone playing him will come in a couple years. lol
