  • RIPPIN those Muffs

  • nice, cool version. thanks for posting

  • good grooving

  • The flow in this song is something else. I actually switched it back to listen to the solo again and almost didn't realise I had did so. Seamless.

  • The studio version on One World is a masterpiece

  • A most wonderful song and performance; and the guitar solo in the middle is absolutely astounding, electrifying...

  • Hell yeah! John certainly gets the groove on with that one. John Martyn never fails to stir something with in me, with his incredible talent when he plays. Every song is so different but perfect every time.

  • rip big jon, reading performance smashes em all out the park though...someone please upload it on here...i'm lucky to have it sky plus'd...it really is outstandin!

  • Love this song. What a great groove he gets going. Anything other than that restrained solo would have killed the song dead. Others should take note. You don't always need a face melter.

RIP John, you are a legend.

  • You're right I subsequently learned that the clip was from a performance that took place in 1984 at Camden Palace Theatre, London.

I believe the concert was available on a DVD.

There might even be the odd torrent file out there

  • This performance was on the DVD "John Martyn - Live from London"

Region 1 released in USA in 2000

Region 2 released in UK in 2001

  • Fantastic stuff - a great performance by JM in his pomp - and the drumming is fab too

  • Absolute genius... I'm a bass player and very rarely do guitarists moves me. This man moved moved me.

  • Always different every time he played anything. This one rolls beautifully.

  • Looks like mid 80's

  • guitar work fantastic the solo sounds like hes guitar work back in 1978 when he played on neil ardley,s harmony of the spheres album ,which also had billy kristian on bass (ray columbus & the invaders ) kiwi band from the sixties.

  • Thanks for the fabulous music

  • Thanks for uploading, great muscian, great music, sadly missed.

Do you know where this concert took place and when ?

  • I may be wrong but I think this gig was at the Camden Palace, I definitely saw this set there and I remember that it was being filmed.

  • ACE A NEW VID MADE MY NIGHT

  • Your judgment about the solo is spot on
