salam.we dont have 12 mahdis, only have 12imams after the prophet PBUHF (as referenced by sunni hadith also). the first imam/khalif is Ali (as), and the first proof we have is in ghadeer khum (place where the prophet said to follow Ali), but also, the proofs are, who said to follow abu bakr/umar etc? what system? how etc.we cant make up ways to lead, we only follow what the prophet said. as for hitting, its for another stage to explain, but it was to feel with opressed of ahlul bayt(as)

Omar put Ali as one of the 6 in the Shura committee to choose the Khalifa after him, and did not put his out son Abdullah. Is this someone who hates Imam Ali?

brother if you want to speak of marriages, u will see that arabia married people for tribes and unity. we know that to the shia school.there were bad marriages, example, imama hassan AS son of Ali, was poisoned by his wife. doesnt mean he has to know whats in her soul. so bad marrianges happen, as well as marriages for peace, like the royals use to do! imagine that Ali had married his family to Omars, he now guarantees they wont go against him in future and also, he doesnt dictate who kids mary.

prophet Yusuf a.s. had the companions in prison who were unbelievers.prophet Musa a.s. companions went to worship the golden calf even with prophet Harun a.s. amongst them. Prophet Jesus a.s. had Judas the betrayer.
I became shia after I reasoned with myself that the murderer of Imam Hussain a.s must represent evil. so, how did an evil man came to be in the seat of caliph not long after Rasulullah s.a.a.w's demise?

Even Sunni Tafsirs testify that it was Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) that the verse was referring to.
From Asbab al-Nuzul, by al-Wahidi 5:55:
(Your guardian can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe), up to the end of the verse. Then the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, went out to the mosque. Some people were standing in prayer while others were bowing. He saw a beggar in the mosque and he asked him: Did you get something from anyone?
The beggar replied: Yes, I got a ring of gold. The Prophet asked him: Who gave it to you? The beggar said: That person who is standing in prayer, and he pointed to Ali ibn Abi Talib. The Prophet asked him again: In which position did he give it to you? The beggar said: He gave it to me while bowing in prayer. The Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, said Allah is the greatest!.
There are many others who Sunni scholars whose books have testified this, such as Tabari, Razi and Zamakshari.
If Allah (SWT) wanted to say that it refers to those who submit he would have used the word 'Muslimoon' but he said 'Raki'un', which means, while bowing down.
Therefore it is undeniable that Surah al-Ma'idah 5:55 refers to Allah (SWT), the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAWW) and Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) as being the guardians of the Muslims.

prophet Yusuf a.s. had the companions in prison who were unbelievers.prophet Musa a.s. companions went to worship the golden calf even with prophet Harun a.s. amongst them. Prophet Jesus a.s. had Judas the betrayer.

I became shia after I reasoned with myself that the murderer of Imam Hussain a.s must represent evil. so, how did an evil man came to be in the seat of caliph not long after Rasulullah s.a.a.w's demise?
Allah says in the Quran,
"truth is clear from falsehood"
it cannot be anymore clearer.
at least to understand more abt shia, read unbiased dialogues between sunni and shia alims like,'al-murajaat" available online.

no not in that way.. but if u are speaking why certain people stayed and married certain people who are infidels, i leave that to god.. i dont ask god why he chose one of the greatest women on earth to be AAsSIa Wife of Pharoah... so if he knew Pharoah was the devil himself, why would he allow her to be with him..? Bro, there is NO proof Yazid killed Hussain R. A. The "Sunni Hadith" that 12imams is referring to is not Sahih Hadith, and does not even come under the category of "Questionable" hadith. It is not even "Weak" hadith. It is just some unknown "Sunni" scholar writes it, and bookstores sell it as "hadith".
As I stated before, bring your proof and all this argument will end. The TRUTH is , these guys will never bring proof, just tell you to "go loook it up"

Unknown ppl on youtube MAY guide, you may even misguide you. The best thing is to see an expert. Go to a local mosque and ask an Aalim.
Wannabe alims are too many these days, and it's also a sign of Qiyama, that there will be many fake scholars of Islam, but they will be anything but scholars.

Assumption #2: is not just untrue, but disprespectful to the Prophet PBUH. And this allegation pre supposes that Naudubillah, Prophet didn't have the divine knowledge of who was a true Muslim during his life.
Assumption #3: And believing this can put a believer outside the fold of Islam. ANd that is to believe "Imams" as intermediary between Allah and his followers. Naudubillah.

THe more i learn about Shia beliefs, the more i realize how weak the whole basis of their belief system is.
Assumption #1: Yazid killed Hazrat Hussain PBUH.
You have nothing to prove this, only rumors and false beliefs passed onto generations, not unlike Hindus.
Assumption #2: Sahabas are all evil, all they wanted was power, and showed their true colors after Prophet PBUH's death.

I don't need to bring you Yazid , anymore than I'd need to bring Prophet PBUH to prove he was prophet of God. I have the Quran, and his Sahih Hadith.
My proof of Umar being innocent is that Umar was a COMPANION, a sahaba. And Prophet PBUH thru his divine knowledge was very close to his companions. I will put more trust in my Prophet PBUH's divine judgement, than YOU or any your "historians" who feel they know better.

Please dont speak according to your nafs and desires. The Quran rejects you as there's a verse stating that the Prophet do not know who the hypocrites were. He is closest to his family , not his companions.

But he DID know who the true companions were. Allah does say "You dont know" but ONLY Allah knows who they were. That knowledge is Ghaib, and only Allah has that knowledge.
So pls don;t pretend to know better than the prophet PBUH!

allah SWT givs his knowledge/ability when he pleases to whom ever he wnts. as u can see, the Prophet PBUHF knw what wil happen at the end times and the comin of th dajal..so how would he know this if he didnt knw the unseen, by the power of god.. furthermore, god aids whom he pleases, even if its giving man/prophet the ability to heal like a god. as u can see Jesus AS did it! .. i dont think u can deny that one as its in the koran.

Lastly, there is no conflict btwn Family and companions. Just because you say there is doesnt make it.

[3.43] O Marium! keep to obedience to your Lord and humble yourself, and bow down with those who bow.
this one has ruku and sunbission:
22.77] O you who believe! bow down (ruku) and prostrate yourselves and serve your Lord, and do.good that you may succeed
if ruku meant submission, got would have said it! but ruku is an action of submission while worshiping..!

Even Sunni Tafsirs testify that it was Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) that the verse was referring to.
From Asbab al-Nuzul, by al-Wahidi 5:55:
(Your guardian can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe), up to the end of the verse. Then the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, went out to the mosque. Some people were standing in prayer while others were bowing. He saw a beggar in the mosque and he asked him: Did you get something from anyone?

There are many others who Sunni scholars whose books have testified this, such as Tabari, Razi and Zamakshari.
If Allah (SWT) wanted to say that it refers to those who submit he would have used the word 'Muslimoon' but he said 'Raki'un', which means, while bowing down.
Therefore it is undeniable that Surah al-Ma'idah 5:55 refers to Allah (SWT), the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAWW) and Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) as being the guardians of the Muslims.
