Thanks Terry. These are well put together to be honest. Basic but solid and easy to work on, great fun in fact. Really the only problems were the exhuast valve and the rings sticking in the grooves near the exhaust port. I decided to replace everything as I wanted everything reconditioned on one go. But a set of rings and Hitchcocks oversize exhaust valve were really all that was needed plus a new head and base gasket. Ger

she's a nice bike , nice step by step tutorial on the top end aswell . I've often wondred how well they were made but after seeing those pushrods they look very well made /
