Buy the Xbox versions of 1 & 2 if you can find them. They have better textures and details than the PS2 versions.

It really is a tough choice between the two consoles. PS2 has a better library of games, and you can find them anywhere for cheap- but Xbox has better graphics. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, though!

Here is why these people are in the manor.

Rei - She is guilty for letting herself live and wants Yuu back with her. She can't let go of him and thus will follow him for eternity. Much like Yoshino, cept she's not that crazy.

Miku - Simple, she wants Mafuyu back. She hates herself for letting him stay with Kirie in FF1.

Kei - His is weird, he is the uncle of Mio/Mayu and wants to know what Mayu never came home and why Mio is acting so weird. He knows nothing of the crimsion ritual ;D

And how the hell does one survive during the "purity candle or die" phase of this game?

She feels guilty for being the only one who survived and she didn't want to survive, and yes, the shadows are manifestations of her loved ones.

Now see, I'm not sure seeing as I actually do not own the game but I think what you have to do is find a candle and conserve it as much as you can...best people to really ask is Shreeb or FatalFramer39 <-- he's near the last boss on his videos, so he's good to ask.

i love FF games so much! But i can't seem to understand FF3. I wonder why Mio is in the Manor? is she dead too? but according to the normal ending of FF2, Mayu's the only one dead, and Mio is the survivor. Can someone explain why Mio is in her ghostly form if she manage to escape from the Manor at the end of the game as well (as shown in the photos at the ending/credits) ?

Mio is in a ghostly form because she is the one who is following the shadow of Mayu in the manor. Kei found a way to manulipate(Sp?) the Manor so he could follow Mio in order to save her and thus is chasing Mio, who is chasing Mayu. I hope this explains things a little better.
