  • Thumbs if you think that Germans are the best car makers.

  • @steroid25 The best color that is available for this car must be the sepang blue

  • Love this beast. ♥ True monster, but I will take it in other color...

  • 420mm front discs.... F**K.

  • Possibly first video I saw with Chris. Don't remember actually, 'cos was a few years ago! Then I thought he's weird, sorry, but now - pretty the best journalist!

  • why was that woman standing there @2:40? lol

  • @cro508 Prostitute

  • I always love the discrete, subtle look of Audi's because you always underestimate it and not being showy means it'll be lost in a car park so it's unlikely someone will hurt it.

  • it is too much, thats whats makes it such an awesome car!

  • prety much the best reveiw ever of any car ever...other than the top gear ford fiesta reveiw. So actually the best factual reveiw.

  • looks like an A4 with different engine

  • hate this guy

  • anyone else recognise the music at the start of this from a couple of pornos?

  • @myamericanpie

    WTF? It's a german car.

  • why dont they sell cars like this in the states it seems like all the cool cars sell in the uk

  • Why the wagon?!?!

  • @ragheadbill... I believe he probably meant to say S8 which had the same V10 without the turbos.

  • "Adding two turbos to that engine..." It's a completely different engine to the S6.

  • I think this reviewer is great, love his reviews.

  • Ah gawd please don't choose silver...

  • Excellent review, Harris is the man!

RS6? hmm.. I'll take an old RS4 with a proper manual thank you..

  • he is a truly great reviewer he compares his car to this... which in reality is its only competitor... and tells his opinion on it....

  • Want to own this kind of beast in your car garage? NO MONEY? NO PROBLEM!!! Visit WW W. MyOnlyMarket .CO M !!

  • THIS IS SPARTA!!!

  • When is enough or too much? Answer= 1500 hp

  • @14EMC88 Why?

  • @hunghuge12 Because i would like to beat every single street legal supercar in the world. With a "normal" peoples car.

  • @14EMC88 No I mean why 1500hp? Why not 1400 or 2000 or something?

  • 6:59 - 7:03 "Well." "Well."

  • i would like it much better as a sedan and not an avant.

  • buuuuuuu this is not sport car this is family car like caravan for market not sport car you dumb ass ,if is 4 door and big trunk is for family of 4 + and if all seat in the car for this size of coarse nead more tork like my truck omg this is stupid video i ever watch

  • 5.0 +v8= 450 hp fuel economy = 0 Category to compare against:Basic Results: (vs. luxury cars)Retail Price (MSRP): $76,100 (average: $70,874)Fuel Economy (City): 14 mpg. • @xxxzorroxxx123 umm well the nissan GTR is a piece of jap shit and this german V10 monster is far fucking better than any piece of rice shit on the market.

  • @PetrolDemon

    You mad bro?

This car's got nothing on the GT-R. The Nissan is one of the most technologically and electronically advanced cars.

  • @TheKiwiLord personal preference. that jap car has almost every ounce of horsepower squeezed out of that 6-cyl. This V10 could produce so much more. I prefer hard engineering, and not electronics.

  • @PetrolDemon

When putting it like that, I agree. The V10 is a monster, but when comparing it with the Nissan this car is like... Nothing. One's a coupe and the other is a sedan. They've both got room for four and have a trunk. But the RS6 isn't even a supercar while the Nissan is more than a supercar. Besides, there's a lot of tuning potential in the Nissan too, there's loads with more than 800 HP with the V6 installed.

  • @TheKiwiLord agreed. the guys over in japan know how to give a lot to their cars technologically. but still the germans know their stuff. and aftermarket can transform both hugely. i do feel this car is a bit overweight though and i would prefer an RS4 (if you could fit this v10 in) :P

  • what's the cracking sound at 5:18? i also get that on my car when I throw it around a lil bit ))

  • @lobzdik the metal cooling, and therefore contracting... Like when you turn your heat on or off if you've got radiators... It expands when it gets hotter, and contracts while cooling, therefore clicking

  • If I hit the lotto, I'd import one of these to the US and smoke all the ricers haha

  • i like this car to be tuned by evotech up to 750HP !

  • Great car

  • Buying a Q7 W12 over this is madness.But hey,thats what makes beeing a petrolhead so great.Want a SUV with a million BHP?Get one.Want a real car,buy a RS5,6 or R8...... Or what ever you want.The only person who needs to like the car is you,the owner:)

  • @35yearoldboy only one problem with that lot ... its a V12 not W12 but i love that V12 TDI power

  • @randombloke10 I wouldn`t call it a problem.I would call it a slip on my part;) I really did think it was a w...... Oh well,if walking into a Audi-dealership to spend an insane amount of money it wouldn`t matter anyway, coz my only question(s) woud be "How fast can you get me a R8 V10?" And if money was absolutely NO object i would add "and give me a RS5 while i`m waiting...." :P

  • Probably one of the best auto reviews I've ever seen anyone perform.

  • Harris is great. You would ask him for advice on buying a car. He pretty much covers everything, and doesn't seem to have that overblown ego that many car journalists have, where they really just want to show how good they are at driving.

  • saw a rs6 rase a ferrari califronia in real life and the rs6 whoop ferrari ass so bad

  • Fuck i hate this adds

  • Whenever i get a Dominos pizza and im specing the base and toppings to my taste, the price always gets steep and chris harris comes into my head going "so if youve got a large hawiian and you put a dominator crust on it and a few toppings...you could easily have a 15, 16 quid pizza....that's becoming a very expensive pizza".

Chris Harris is a legend. Dominos is a rip off.

  • Can this guy be anymore boring? I almost fell asleep. What a nob!

  • @davetherug This is actually a good review for people who are interested in hearing a professional's opinion on it.

  • Check out the 700hp RS6 racing on M5boards channel, it's a beast!

  • I love Chris' reviews. So detailed and aimed at the petrolhead. He's awesome.

  • man you talk too much -.-

  • wtf hes complaining about the weight of it. its a 4 door luxury car you want it to weigh the same as a Radical ??

  • @theadizo

No but 2 tonnes is too much for a car of its size

  • So sad that everytime you see a beauty like this, its usually a cock driving it. Thats why i dont like the audi

  • @AstronauT93 who cares if its a cock if a person can afford an audi that means they are workin fuckin hard. What do u drive a fuckin honda? u wont be drivin an audi and u'll keep hatin on successful people who will. Thats the difference between u and the " cock " buddy ;)

  • @AstronauT93 who cares if its a cock if a person can afford an audi that means they are workin fuckin hard. What do u drive a fuckin honda? u wont be drivin an audi and u'll keep hatin on successful people who will. Thats the difference between u and the " cock " buddy ;)

    enjoy ur shitty ride !

  • im wondering if hes still in autocar.co.uk. hummm

  • @redphiveII

no, he works for evo magazine

  • Comment removed

  • @AdrianosFidi how so?..

  • @JellyBird12 with tuning AMS increased the Lancer Evo 2.0 power to 900 hp with the AMS 900+ Kit and 1130 hp is they're record

    if they could make 450 hp / l ( 551.5 hp / l record ) on a tuned car , means Audi can make 116 hp / l on a stock car

    dont have to mention the 100 hp / l at the 1983 Audi 200 Quattro 20V ( 2.2 Turbo ) and the 145 hp/ l at the 1984 Audi Sport Quattro ( 2.1 306 hp )

  • @AdrianosFidi ...What are you talking about? Im saying how is the RS6 not stock?

  • @JellyBird12 yes it is

  • a Lancer Evo can make 1130 hp , so dont be surprised about the 580 hp under RS6

  • Fifth gear desperatly needs this guy instead of mr. proud racing driver jason who is too proud to be tv presenter.

  • 5:00 lol ^^

  • I love this car its the best dad has bought one

    YES ...

  • Our ride in Rome, late May. Wow!

  • i would choose the 09 cadillac cts-v its 200 pounds lighter with 20 less hp but 70 more torque. do the math

  • I don't care how much horsepower this thing has....why the hell would they make it a station wagon??? totally kills it

  • @timpetricca You can get it as a sedan to ;)

  • @timpetricca not at all old boy. If you live in Gewrmany it makes perfectly good sense. High speed crusing on the Autobahn for 800 Kilometers is extremely pleasing and you get out at the other end feeling like you have done nothing. And one in a while you just take it up to very high speeds feeling just great. Can't be described... and you've got all your stuff with you.

  • This guy should be on TV.. he's awesome

  • watching Chris Harris analyze cars makes me realize: Top Gear = opinions & entertainment, Autocar = real car reviews.

  • Quit repeating same crap

  • @shospecialist shut up

  • It's heavier than the M5 Touring cause the RS6 is quite a bit larger than the M5

  • Great vid.

  • This is a fucking great review. I really enjoyed this, very impressed.

  • Get rid of Hammond and replace him with Chris Harris!

  • @ChavhamChavs are you joking me, Top Gear would never be as good without the trio.

  • @moparmaniac21 But Top Gear is not as good as it use to be. maybe getting rid of hammond and replacing him with harris might make it better

  • great great review, go chris, more of those!!!

  • brilliant review!! id like to know more reviews by this guy.. (i remember he did a veyron one some time ago)

  • I adore cars and it is so refreshing to see and good honest unpretentious review by a nice person not wanting to be funny or liked just doing a review

  • he said it ..u cant hide mass.. this engine need a lighter car

  • this beast eats porsches for breackfast!

  • great review. this is what we should see from top gear. instead we have pillocks doing stupid things in expensive cars without us getting any information about the cars themselves

  • very good review.

  • top review

  • the best one car in my opinion

  • This is how a car should be reviewed. No racing french snowboarders. Take note top gear

  • lol true say. i do enjoy top gear, mind

  • great review.

  • Wow never read or seen a review by Chris, I'm an EVO reader and thought I'd never be tempted to go elsewhere but tis was a great 'tell it how it is' review. It helps that I love Audi's and have two on the drive as we speak but it was the review that impressed me here. None of those completely unrelated Clarkson opinions (loves Jags/Astons over any Germanic car etc.) just the facts and the important bits for somebody considering buying a car in this league. Top work!

  • naughty autocar swears?

  • just drive please

  • Chris Harris, you are a DON. Awesome review.

  • wouldnt mind one of those over a lambo or ferrari

  • @TVRnGTR yeah, call me stupid but i think audi's have a lot more class.

  • @westywolves1155 i agree they suit almost anybody my dad owns a Q7 and it looks morse sophisticated and classy than some higher class cars, plus being an audi it isnt going to break anytime soon

  • @TVRnGTR LOL, how could anyone agree that they would take an rs6 over a ferrari or lambo.. Like comon' the car looks like a station wagon my grandfather would drive, except with the extreme horespower that would make for a quick way to heaven. This car as quoted by Chris Harris is a "family car", and if not for the 572 bhp, would be driven by families altogether. Any car enthusiast or racer would never pick this shitmobile over an exotic car like a lambo or ferrari..Plain and simple.

  • @Adamojjo well hey im an enthusiast, and i would for the price buy something practical, reliable, brutally quick and provide adequate comfort for family and/or friends {audi}, over something that breaks down is more expensive and impractical {lambo and ferrari}, and it appears that what i have seen in your comments on previous car vids, you have less knowledge of a car than the amish do technology.

  • show for, as your criteria of comfort for family, reliability, and speed of a station wagon completely defeats the purpose of “wealth”. Nobody buys a comfortable car with 572 bhp to be used for family outings lol. ..and if you were to have that kind of money, you wouldn’t mind spending the extra dollar on maintenance or repairs which btw are quite damn expensive on an audi rs6 as well. So your point is opinionated and can only be logically confirmed if you had that kind of money to play with.

  • The reason the latter received those names as cars was because of their history and legacy of being top performance cars with the luxury, class, and look that you cannot compare to a fucking audi lol. The price of an rs6 is roughly the same as a Gallardo.. a car anyone would drive over a ridiculously priced audi. Telling me you would buy this over a Lambo/Ferrari simply proves the fact that you don’t have the kind of money to

  • @TVRnGTR 1st off I'm not going to argue with you about which car "You" personally like more.. Thats your opinion. You don’t know what I know about cars, so that is irrelevant to this topic. But what I will say is that you or anyone else cannot compare audi to ferrari or lamborghini..

  • @Adamojjo of course you can compare audi to lambo and ferrari or did you completely forget about the R8

  • @Adamojjo

Well, Lamborghini IS Audi. It's the same company – or, at least, Lamborghini is a subsidiary of Audi, which is itself a subsidiary of Volkswagen group.

  • Almost every leading car manufacturer has a supercar to show for, and VW buying lamborghini 3 years ago has nothing to do with how a lambo is engineered. The ’11 R8 has only 420 bhp.. It’s a nice car, yet incomparable to any ’11 ferrari or lambo. And guess what? The R8 uses a Lamborghini gallardo’s engine platform, and is made by Audi’s subsidiary company ‘quattro GmbH’. So finally, don’t talk when you clearly don’t know anything.

  • Comment removed

  • @gregtube88 & @TVRnGTR Those are two of the stupidest comments I have ever read. The comment wasn't about whether Lamborghini was a subsidiary of the VW group, the comment was at 36 dumbos who gave the thumbs up to a station wagon look-alike with 572 bhp over a Lambo or Ferrari. You can name subsidiaries with any car manufacturer in the world today..

  • @Adamojjo well hey maybe 36 people agree with me and wouldn't mind it over a lambo or ferrari can your brain not process that people have something called an opinion or are you one of these tards that think they're god and thinks no one but them is right?

  • @TVRnGTR

Definitely the second... especially when 36 people clearly don't have a brain to differentiate an apple from an orange! ..So you, having the place as one of those morons, seems a little bit strange to be talking back to the god that knows everything.

  • @Adamojjo

Calm down, little man. I wasn't disagreeing with you - just making an obvious point. I guess you've got a little het up over all this YouTube nonsense, eh?

  • @gregtube88 Making an obvious point doesn't begin with " Well, " and your point is not a point because it has no relevance to anything I was saying and can be found in wikipedia. If you have something to say about a debatable topic of the video or comment then do it, but making yourself look smart by stating a fact is just making you look even more dumb, because your "little" brain cannot express anything worth typing...

  • @Adamojjo lamborghini is audi.

  • @Adamojjo in fact, if you apparently know soo much about cars, you would know the s6 uses the same v10 lambo engine.

  • @SamShackleford1 ..and when did I mention anything about the S6? And lamborghini ISN'T audi.. they use some of their modified engines.. but that's about it.

  • @Adamojjo

Actually, both Audi and Lamborghini are owned by Volkswagen so there is quite a lot of component sharing.

The V-10 engine used in both Audis and Lamborghinis is the same engine block. The heads are different but that's only because Lamborghini prefers their four-valve design while VW/Audi favor a five-valve design.

Another clue is the 90° V angle. That's odd for a V10 designed from scratch but perfectly understandably if you consider Audi's existing V8 engine.

  • @Adamojjo not true...Audi is now Owner of Lamborghini..

  • @Adamojjo I think that Audi is owner of Lamborghini ~!!!

  • great review. Really appreciated the detail

  • what can i say ,i hate to rub it in just brought my first audi rs6 after a win on the lottery ,ding dong, fuck it is quick

  • @audiandyd I'll be selling mine then. lol

  • The Thinking Man's Jeremy Clarkson. Good info, covered in a sensible way.

  • This RS6 is by far better than E63 yet alone M5 not to mention its one of the best productions ever made. Its just built perfectly so simple yet again brutal and fantastic.

  • der hat 100% 580 ps!!!

    stimmts???

  • what is this host's name? i like his style. not too acid like clarkson, or too bland as fifth gear

  • Did you already try to look at the information box???

    Lazy

  • Chris Harris

  • enough or TOO MUCH ? TOO MUCH BUT AWESOME !

  • This guy is the best host i've seen in years.

  • Agreed!

  • @bigbzon ya Chris works for EVO magazine now if you want to see more of him.

  • @bigbzon thats right

  • The RS4 is a smaller car therefore it would weigh less and has smaller powerplant. I would guess one of the main reasons people buy the RS4 Avant is because the Porsche /Ferrari whatever has to go when kids arrive. The problem is it isn't big enough at the back for two kids and a second passenger. The RS6 can fit a second passenger with reasonable comfort in the back. This is probably embarrassing banter but the reason I couldn't have a V10 R8 is practicality.

  • When you go through a mid-life crisis, you'll have an excuse to buy one!

  • Well, let's do a little math (sorry!):

The RS6 is partly made from steel, whereas the M5 is made entirely from aluminium. So there's more weight. An RS6 is AWD, so there's another 100kgs or so. And finally it has an automatic, which is going to weigh more than the M5's SMG.

So when you add it all up, the RS6 may be very heavy, but it's heavy because of what it is over the M5. Know what I mean? But still the RS4 was much lighter, so Audi don't have many excuses...

  • listen to him

  • Nobody get me wrong, I wasn't knocking the RS6 - I'd love one. But my point was that there's a reason why it weighs so much, and when you compare it to the M5 Touring, you can see how it became so heavy.

But I like the RS6 better than the M5. Though I wouldn't go past an E63.

  • the coolest family car ever made...go AUDI, you rock!!!

  • ill still take the R8 5.2 over it any day =P

  • So would, I but the R8 costs another forty grand and you can't get more than a washbag and a change of underpants in the boot. They are each in a different sector, appealing to a different target market.

    Both are exceptional cars.

  • very true. but i prefer sportier cars. the RS6 is definetely amazing, but the insane weight is a big deal breaker for me.

  • It is a heavy car and it will never feel like an R8, however, it is a fabulous car to drive and beautifully built. I like both and would have both if I won the lottery. The R8 would be really good for track days.

  • well, same here, i guess. if i had enough money to have both, you can bet that i would take them. but id rarely have anything to do that the R8 couldnt handle, so if i could only have one, it would be my car of choice.

  • It's actually perfect car. I can drive with my family, with our staff on the boot wich is very big and I can overtake Lamborghini Gallardo on motorway.

  • I wish they sold the fast Avant models here in the USA, ever since Volvo stopped making the V70R its hard finding a performance wagon over on this side of the pond.

  • Trouble is the US has such a devisive spec requirement for imported vehicles, I could be cynical and call it protectionism. Compared to a Volvo anything the RS6 is in a completely different league - would be perfect for your market.

  • actually, the main problem might be that the RS6 would be considered a station wagon, which i guess it is. and nobody would want a performance wagon. they just have a very bad rep.

  • Yeah, bad rep, but this car changes that. By being over-the-top and rediculously fast for what it is. Both things that I love.

Like the Scooby RX wagon was just a bad idea, but c'mon, this is just leagues better than any other wagon there is. I'd take one in a heartbeat, this is just one of those few cars that looks good as a wagon.

But I know what you're saying.

  • im not necessarily saying that wagons deserve a bad rep. i drive one, and its actually pretty fast for a saturn (yes, im cheap), but people think stock sedan models are much betterm, even if theyre slower. unless something radical happens, performance wagons are never going to sell very well here, simply because people refuse to believe that they can be fast.

  • In the USA, yeah, true. But I've seen a few comments here and there around here about some people who'd like one over there. I'm Australian, by the way, and there is somewhat a market for performance wagons here.

  • yea, other countries seem to be more open minded, and they may create a good enough market to make the car profitable.

  • At least you can buy this car as a sedan.

  • i LOVEEEEEE my wrx wagon. Yes its fast (to me).

  • theres plenty of fast wagons out there. and even more wagons that could become fast with a bit of work.

  • its not like this here in germany.. almost everyone knows how fast a station wagon can be. not only because of super-cars like M5's or RS6's. there are plenty of station wagons that are faster than normal sedans. depends on the engine. 530d's, A6 3,0T, E350 T-Model..

  • yes 1000 kg are one ton

some manual transmission should be nice!!

    saludos desde argentina!!!

  • He has no clue,Of mechanical nature,He should go back to the pub,He is a retard

  • Well, you are both wrong and right. If you live in the us a ton is 907.2kg - also known as a short ton. If you live in the UK and hasent taken the metric system to your heart a ton i 1016 kg - also known as a long ton. However, Sence hi is talking about kg (kilos) in the clip he probbaby refferes to what you lot would call a metric ton, but what the rest of us just calls a "ton" and that is exactly 1000 kg.

  • @smokenfly514

i'm pretty sure you aren't that smart

  • no i was actually right. google it motherfucker

  • ZR1
