  • sick shit bro!!! def inspiring

  • "Cool so"

  • Yo you nice on that mpc word!

  • Nice!

  • Good shit man. One question though. What bass guitar do you have? I'm trying to add a bass guitar to my arsenal but I'm having trouble choosing one.

  • Prawlee one of the illest beats ive heard on the tube.....keep dis ish bangn

  • Hey man do you use floppies with your 2000xl? I just got a MPC 2000xl and I was thinking about buying a Zip drive but I have no knowledge on zip drives so i dont know where or what to search for. any one got reccomendations. like are there different sizes of zip drives? i would install a SD card reader on my MPC, but im low on cash and i wanna use the cheapest alternative to floppies.

  • @RAAB0601 if you have the money to spend on a zip drive, spend a little more time saving up or find something to sell and buy a card reader. i've got a zip drive and they can be a real pain. sometimes the disks will up and die on you and you'll lose all the data, which is why i recently purchased a card reader, just waiting on it to get here

  • nice beat great job.

  • Im fuckin wit dis ONE!!!!!!!!!

  • i like how gemini completely copied technics...lol

  • yo im feelin that beat

  • dude, this is so fucking dope man..one of the best tracks i have ever heard dude..simply incredible man..you have an incredible ear for mpc production..fucking great man..i just bought an mpc 2000xl few hours ago. i had the mpc 2500, roland mv8000, roland mv8800, mpc 2000, 2000xl..and i sold them all, just to buy an mpc 2000xl today..great job dude

  • Pretty dope.. i would like em to be longer tho :D

  • Sounds like somethin' the cool kids will hop on..

    Ha.

  • dope beat fam

  • thats pretty ill

  • im not sure if that beat at the beginning is yours, but its dope as hell, where can i find it?

  • thanks for the video. Is their another way to sample besides the records ? Like is their a place online that you can sample from thats free ? I'm new to this and this question is the only thing I think left that i dont understand. because theirs no way in hell I can afford to start a record collection when I don't even own 1 record ..

    Thanks for your time..

  • what's that song of begin video ?

  • Beat was sick keep doing your thing just made a wicked beat out of a bobbi humphrey beat samples for days

  • Yo man this is crazy dope. Im trying to get on your level but its hard. if you have a minute check out the beat love to you on my page i sample tyrone davis' in the mood. Any feedback/criticism would be great.

  • sick

  • I realle like it

  • hey man, how do you map the sounds to the individual pads?

i'm just getting into sampling and i've only got an LPD8 right now, haha

appreciate it if you'd give me a shout!

  • johnny j would be proud ..beautiful work man.

  • noice!!

  • Man, that Nina Simone sample in the intro/backer beat is one of my favorites. I been using that same part every now and again since I started making beats back in '99-2000. Good ear. Peace.

  • what were the records did you use sorry? lol

  • that beat is off the fuckin hook!!!

  • i like this it motivated me 2 try harder

  • u used the word 'Cool' before every sentence lol :)

  • The reason it can be so daunting / risking buying 2nd hand sequencer / samplers like mpc's is because dudes like u smash that shit when theres no need to what so ever.

All u gonna do is break that shit hammering down on it like a caveman.

Do u punch ur wall to switch ur lights on and off, or u simply 'press' the light switch?

When it comes to particular machines that can cost a bit to fix, and that they dont build anymore.. why be so ruff with it? it aint gonna help ur beats..

  • @LDNURECS ,

    Here's why (since you asked).

1.) The Camera is on the table...so it seems harder than it is.

2.) The "Full Level" key was broken.

3.) My mpc has never had a problem that directly related to pushing the pads.

I also have an extra set on pads and sensors on deck...so i dont think twice about it.

    I appreciate your concern ?!?!?

  • @DailyBread15

Yeah I hear u.. just keep seeing vids of people hammering on the pads and theres no need for it, plus looking into buying one but when 99% of them seem to be in youtube videos taking a beating it doesnt give a 2nd hand buyer much confidence in the state it may be in.

    But yeahdo ur thing

  • @DailyBread15 a my man i got two

question 1 can i use 16 verlcity on my drums 2 could i use a cd sampler on the back 3

  • @DailyBread15 lol it's SO hard to break MPC pads, i've been doing it just like you for months and months and not so much as a change in velocity sensing

  • @LDNURECS go look at how araabmuzik produces. this guy hitting his pads is light.

    &DailyBread15 dope beat.

  • yo this shit is hot off rip... question where can i find an Mpc???

  • @MrRodzilla20 internet.. musicians friend is where i get alot of my studio equip. check it out, otherwise ebay for used ones... the best bet if u dont have bank cuz this shit is expensive.

  • Fucking amazing.

  • let me ask you a question. I erase my mpc load disk how could i get another one

  • I fucking HATE when people bitch about sampling and say its unoriginal. I actually think it's ingenious. Its like making a new generation of songs from previous ones, its fucking great. I dont give a fuck, if I produced, i would sample the shit out of some oldies, keep doin' what you're doing man.

  • Nice

  • yo u really kept ur MPC in line there lolol good beat thoooo

  • Nice sound!!!

  • great job this is raw

  • You Sir, Have Talent.

  • this is pretty tight i like those drums

  • It would be cool if you ran it down step by step. In the beginning you talked about chopping and obviously you're running loops and samples, but it would be a great help to those of us who have no idea how to do it if you did it step.. by.. step. I have rhythm, myself, but no technology. Don't even know where to start

  • Fresh and tight. Come to listen my beats on the Mpc

  • Great Job! on the MPC cuzo!

  • hi, i am a total mpc noobie. i would like to buy one, but can't afford it yet. i just got few questions: 1. how do you make eltons' voice sound so high. do you pitch that up? 2. how do you make it to fit the piano chords to the drums tempo, as you are making first the drums?

    thx for the answer.

  • Well, the song itself is pretty slow. So, I made it faster by tuning it up. As a result, the voice sounds higher pitched.

Then when I looped the piano part I tuned it up the exact same amount.

I did the drums last on this beat even though it appears to be first, I took the same approach with them as well. Hope this helps.

  • whats the difference between the mpc2000 and the 2000 xl?

  • @Donbon25 the difference is the 2000 is the old school version and the XL is basically just an upgraded model.

  • @Donbon25 Lots of things. Go to mpc2000xl d o t c o m / summary d o t htm, there's a pretty comprehensive list.

  • say i got a mpc 2000 for sale with the scuzzy drive if your close by the west texas area. i messaged this dude to see how much he charged for a beat and he never got back to me. i guess this dude aint about his bread or somethin, but anyway if you interested get at me. peace.
