Anyone know any movies like this? Noir-style, but not actually made 60 years ago, something relatively modern that is SET back in the '40s, but made in color and better effects? Something just like this Fringe episode with the detectives and old cars, etc.

When I first saw the description for this episode, I was kind of unhappy - I thought they were jumping the shark. Then I watched it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great filler episode, absolutely ADORABLE, and OMG NOIR-STYLE FOR THE WIN!!! I love Fringe.

I'm curious as to why Olivia has straight hair during 0:21 when she has curly hair in the rest of the scenes in the preview...could this possibly be a present day scene?

@sharstar - Walter is telling Ella a story so the "Curly!Olivia" is actually an imaginary Olivia. in other words, its one of those story-wthin-a-story type things.

I am aware Josh did not want to sing but I am utterly jealous that everyone else gets to show off. I'm sure people will shove how great singers they are while Josh will probably get picked on for not singing. Let's hope the writers actually make up for the lack of singing. You know, make me forget that he won't be singing.

Personally, I'm looking forward this episode. I hate, I mean I REALLY HATE musicals, but Fringe, well I love Fringe so much that I just know I won't be disappointed. The only moment of Fringe that made me scream was Charlie's death. Plus, it's all in Walter's mind. Walter's mind = no limitations.
