  • bravissima!!!!!

  • you are great :)

  • what is thie green thing she puts out of the cello before she plays?

  • @Cervier24

They are called "Dampids" and are little sponges to keep the humidity consistent.

  • @josephinevanlier they are called "Dampits"

  • do u have the sheet music for this? p.s. I ENVY YOU!

  • i think the overall song performance was a pretty dang good one, but i have to say.

i understand that your interpretation of the song was practiced prior to your performance?

i believe that it is quite crucial that you keep the overall moment and flow of the song as this suite i would like to think is like flowing water. it just flows, whether we notice it or not.

it was wonderful and well worth listening to and watching. thank you for posting this video, and watch out for your pitch!

  • mmm I think the tempo is a little weird

  • everything is so wonderfully effortless.

  • All your videos are great !!!

  • Are you SURE it's in G minor?! :-)

Lovely playing, though. I've been enjoying these for a couple of days now. Thank you!

  • Thank you for letting me know. Yes it is indeed "major". I have fixed it.

I will be posting more suites in the next few days.

This weekend I will be playing all six suites on Saturday and all six on Sunday. These also will be recorded.

Which suite or which instrument do you like best?

  • Hi! Sorry, hope you didn't mind me teasing you! It's a huge undertaking to do all the Suites in one go -- I saw Steven Isserlis do the same in London a year or two back. I think my favourite is Suite 2 -- so dark and smoky and brooding -- but I have a big respect for Suite 6, because I can't play it very well! (I'm just a happy orchestral player.) You do a great job with all the cellos, but hey, the carbon fibre one is a bit of a wild animal, isn't it?! Best wishes for the performances!

  • @cellistoman DUDE DOES NOT SAY G MINOR DUMBO IT SAYS G MAJOR
