Very sad from the perspective of us looking on, but isn't this nature ? Why the song when this kind of thing goes on all the time in the wild ? If my kitty died, then that would be sad because I knew her and cared for her. But this ? Why aren't we concerned for the baby lizzards and fire ants ?

There is reports of Honey dying but there is no ifficial word on it, which means the big cat week team have either not investigated the situation or it is not Honey at all but a cheetah that has been mistaken for her, Honey isn't the only cheetah trying to raise cubs remember, the marah is a big piece of land so don't be too concerned about her for now.
It is true that cheetahs are having a difficult time but it is primarily due to humans. Lost of habitat and trying to stick cheetahs on conservancies simply doesn't work. Big Cat has a non-interference policy but they fail to see that humans have already interfered, one by the fact that they are there in the first place with all their vehicles, etc, and two by the fact that it is a somewhat managed environment.
Honey was such a strong and beautiful cat. Its a shame that she had to go out that way, you would expect her to live for a long time. For toto, its just a harsh circle of life sometimes, but for cheetahs being the fastest but least likely to make it out of the big cats thats just how the dice tumble.

It is true that cheetahs are having a difficult time but it is primarily due to humans. Lost of habitat and trying to stick cheetahs on conservancies simply doesn't work. Big Cat has a non-interference policy but they fail to see that humans have already interfered, one by the fact that they are there in the first place with all their vehicles, etc, and two by the fact that it is a somewhat managed environment.

Honey was such a strong and beautiful cat. Its a shame that she had to go out that way, you would expect her to live for a long time. For toto, its just a harsh circle of life sometimes, but for cheetahs being the fastest but least likely to make it out of the big cats thats just how the dice tumble.
