I'm with KallenK on this one : ) Nonsuch is just soooooo beautiful. But I respect that your conviction is just as strong about Skylarking so no Holy Wars required!!
thats actually crazy, cause those are the two albums i havent gotten into really, big express kind of but not mummer at all, my favs are skylarking and nonsuch for sure
why was this not the follow up single to peter pumpkin head??....releasing 'the disappointed' as the 2nd single.... was a woeful decision by their label.
Andy + Colin + the boys... have influenced me (my music) profoundly. I'll probably never amount to JACK SQUAT, but that's the best way I can think of to honor the great work they have done.
Despite those unlucky high tones, Paul McCartney, Mike Patton and Andy Partridge are the best singers of ever. they should have joined Liz Fraser, Eddi Reader and Skunk Anansie´s Skin, and killed us all
excellent

C'mon now, it's only a rehearsal. Then it's got to be permitted to wail a bit and have some fun.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I can't understand this wailing. Learn to enunciate.

Skylarking i the centre round which all other XTC albums revolve.I keep going to visit others but get drawn back to Skylarking every time

I have tried it many ,many times over the last decade or so.Nonsuch is a very very close second

If I was told "you're gonna die boy. Just one album to listen to before you meet your dear god.I would say SKY LARKING"
aboudia2 4 years ago
Tough to argue with that ... but I think Wasp Star slightly beats Skylarking ... but only by a hair.
