They have such great voices. The song itself is one of the nicest duets. Bryn Terfel looks like a giant there. lol

I have to say though, I really dislike almost anything I hear that James Levine conducts. He leads such a plodding pace.

amen. i mean, he's a creepy guy, but I mind him most when he's conducting... anything. he has no concept of singability and motion. his mozart tempos are especially disgraceful in general

Very nicely done. Many things could be said about style, tempo etc. but no need for any negative response. I remember Merill and Bjorling but that doesn't mean that they were only #1. There are many " best" and recordings are mere memory of the "real thing" . Performed live with humans fully present.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces in the world...performed by two of the most stunning singers in the world! It certainly is a bad time for opera.!This is not Gigli/De Luca,nor is it Bjorling/Merrill either zither74.They do have good voices though.
