  • 2 side panels are available at the CMStore right now! The Storm Sniper(in this video) and the Offical HAF 922 side with a small window(unfortunately small the see through)

  • ok that side panel window is avi at the CM store

they claim it don't fit the HAF 922

the official HAF 922 side panel window is also at the CM store

smaller window :( same price :(

O.o $25+ shipping :( i tad to Hi if ya ask me cause you can mod the included side panel to add a window. *be sure you do this after the warranty expires*

  • Great stuff. The music was just like a scary movie but was 'haf' expecting the innards of the case to light up to show off the components inside towards the end. Also do you have a fan on the windowed panel?

  • what keyboard is that

  • @randompancake9 Saitek Eclipse II

  • Side panel is available at the CM store right now.

  • Which fans can u see with it installed?

  • OMFG.. I want this side panel window!!

  • what kind of temps you getting with window instead of the mesh and fan option?

  • do you have a fan in the drive bay?

  • Does the side panel fit well or did you have to do any small modding or anything?

  • Does the side window come with a fan slot?

  • what kind of temps do you get with this case? I'm being torn between this case and the 912 and I don't know which one to pick.

  • missing a 40 inch hd screen in this vid?(stolen?

)btw you can use led also for growing pot in closet

  • missing a 40 inch hd screen in this vid?(stolen?

    )

  • Where did you get the side panel from?

  • @MegaCheesemaster123 From Cooler Master. They use the sell them for the Storm Sniper. It's the same case as the HAF 922. Don't know if they sell them anymore but thinking of getting rid of mine. Let me know if you want it.

  • @Akinit how much would you sell it for?

  • @Akinit whya re u getting rid of urs?

  • @Akinit If you window is still in good condition can i have yours?

  • What is the purpose of CPU Water Cooler compare when using fan?

  • @Akinit Give me a possible price for the side panel (Including shipping, I'm from California)

  • Comment removed

  • where do u find this side window???

  • Is that side panel the SGC-6000-SP01-GP?

  • I just bought this case and I'm confused about one thing; Do the red lights come with the stock case? And how do you turn them I plugged the power and everything and I don't see the light

  • @abdullah57habib the big fan at the front is lit up, i dono about the rest(probubly depends on if they have LEDs!) but theres a switch at the top beside the power switch, it should turn the LEDs in the front on and off, if not, check the cables at the side, in the closed side of the case beside the hdd caddy or something, its a 2 prong wire(much like a fan connctor) and by closed side i mean the one that you get to the BACK of the mobo with, hope that helps if u havnt figured it out already!

  • Why the scary music?

  • i would stay with the fan! cool beter

  • Nice!

  • Yeah where did you get window side panel :) ?

  • where did you get this case with a side panel window?

  • @kyleplusplus I bought the case from newegg and I bought the side panel from Cooler Masters website.

  • @Akinit is it the Sniper Left Side Panel - OEM Package ?

  • @Akinit I can't find the side panel for the 922 on their website.... did you use some other one and hacked it bro...?

  • @Akinit you are just ruining airflow with that

  • I don't know where to connect the fan in the back, I have the P6T SE motherboard. The fan cable just won't reach the CHA_FAN connector! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong anyone?

  • @phlogios Not doing anything wrong per say, you may just have to buy an extension from somewhere like FrozenCPU.

  • @Akinit I rotated the fan's frame 90°, which gave me an extra centimeter ;)

  • @bowarrful Fairly quiet.

  • gorgeous, great cable management too. ive got the 932 with a gtx 480 and its honestly just too big for what ive got in there. i think the 922 wouldve been the better choice but oh well..

  • HAF 932 ROCKS AS I OWN ONE MY RIG HAS 1 TB OF HDD ASUS P5 QL-EM MB A 16 INCHES CRT LOGITECH MX 3200 LASER COMBO 4 GB OF DDR2 CORSAIR RAM EACH HAVING 1066MHZ FSB INTEL CORE 2 DUO 2.93 GHZ CPU I OVERCLOCKED IT TO 3.02 GHZ HP DVD WRITER LOGITECH Z 2300 DIGITAL 2.1 CH SPEAKERS

  • @TheALIENWAREGEEK shitty

  • how did you get the window i have this case the haf 922 and i would like too buy a window

  • gute musikwahl :D

  • I like the red/blue scheme you got going on in the case, thinking about changing my P182B for a HAF-X and buying some red & blue fans in there...

  • How did you get a side panel? Is this a mod? I like the 922, but the fact that it doesn't have a stock side panel window is keeping me from buying it, i cant decide between this one or the scout.

  • Is the window homemade?

  • @tibor29

    y

  • i give this setup a name :D dark void :D

  • im going to run 3 way SLI on gts 250 with 1 GIG VRAM each, i cant wait, especally with that kick ass looking case

  • My case side panel arches outwards and is warped so it is difficult to slide on due to this problem? Also the screws on the back wont go in because of misaligned holes. Does anyone else have these problems?

  • Do you think this cooling is good on overclocked proccesor ? ASUS Triton 77

  • or i must overclock it ? becouse i dont wanna buy new cooling xD

  • and do you think one video card geforce gtx 465 1gb DDR5 with Intel core i7 2,8ghz quad core can run BBC 2 on maximum with about 60-80 fps ?

  • My 1200 Watt Corsair Modular and SLIed GTX 480s blows that machine away.. it doesn't have a window on my HAF 922 though :(

    I just wanted to brag

  • @Darpinion And Corsair makes a 1200 watt PSU now? Since when?

  • @Akinit Google it dipshit. Corsair AX 1200.

  • @Akinit Maybe you should try validating things before you say them.

  • @Akinit dey do make it and soon der is going to be an 1500 watt psu

  • @Darpinion Post a video

  • @patrikk777 I've never posted a video on YouTube - I have nothing to record a video.

  • @Darpinion Hows the airflow? I would imagine two GTX 480's generating massive amounts of heat, so wouldn't you need a bigger case?

  • @jdawg224 The card gets really hot, but it's never overheated completely and shutdown. I've just opened it up after a period of time and felt it and it was too hot to touch. I've played some real graphically intense games for a long time and never had a total game freeze or anything.

  • @Darpinion fraps and benchmark duh :D

  • i have same HDD and i have 1 only too :D but in future i wanna buy rapotr or something speed for system :)

  • @Mikencz Don't bother with a Raptor, get some SSDs. That will probably be my next upgrade after I get a new HTPC/LAN box.

  • @Akinit doesnt ssd's slow down after a while? keep reading up on that =/

  • @camvvti If they dont have a feature called "TRIM" it wont slow down, but if they don't it will probably, all the newest models should have it.

  • @Mikencz Or raid 0?

  • Add some Scythe Ultra Kaze 133CFM fans or the Slipstream 110CFM fans on the H50 for push/pull, you should get a 4ghz OC easy. How would you install a fan on the top front though? Do you need to mod the case or are there holes for screws?

  • paint it black

  • @TheMRamstaff I just might in the summer time. It might get a nice upgrade too during that time. Just changed out the RAM for 6 GB of Mushkin. No more problems playing GTAIV.

  • nice build, how did you find working with the haf 922, is it a good case? I did a build with the antec 200 and put a top window in, check it out by clicking my name.

  • @JimPCfan zthe HAF 922 was a breeze to work with compared to many other cases.

  • @Akinit Do you mean that you found hard to work with it? How do you mean it?

  • @groberti No, it was very easy. I just felt the need to tweak a placement of a wire here and there.

  • @Akinit Thanks.

  • because of this video, i went ahead and cut out my side to add a window.

  • @HondaNSXk Cool. Hope to see a vid of it sometime.

  • Is there some european site/place that sells that Storm Sniper side window only?? I found it on cooler master usa site, but they are only shipping in USA and Canada

  • @makaveli316bg Don't know, sorry.

  • @makaveli316bg

Yes. Go to Coolermaster Netherlands website. Its more like an online parts store. Go to storm sniper section and I think at the end of 2nd page there is windowed storm sniper window section at 29.99 euro. I am also thinking of buying it in near future

  • @matt15648 Thank you very much. It took me several times to get it looking like that.

  • sweet custom pc dude i like it did you build it yourself ???? send me feed back

  • @ProPCCustom Yeah, I built it myself. I enjoy doing it, build a lot of PCs for friends and family. I need to get a new camera though as I lost mine. I'm always tweaking the look and parts of my PC though. Going to have to put up a new video soon I think once I got a new camera.

  • where did u bought the side then?

  • where do you buy the plate then? i really wanna know ;)

  • @1dkwarrior2 From the Cooler Master website...

  • @Akinit thank you ;)

  • what is that song i recognize it whats it from

  • @thecrazyflyersfan It's clearly in the description of the video. To your right hand side. Or under the video now that they changed the layout. It's from the movie the Fifth Element.

  • nice looks great

  • @murf572 Thanks!

  • what is your monitor brand and Resolution

  • Asus 22" 1680 x 1050.

  • thanks

  • how is the red-led fan called, in front of your 922(not the 200MM)

  • The red led fan in the drive bays is a Cooler Master R4-L2R-20CR-GP 120mm Red LED Case Fan. I got them from newegg.

  • @Akinit tnx

  • Nice system, like the window, only wish the HDD cage wasn't showing, but i guess you couldn't really hide that seen as the window was cut around the bulge in the panel haha, good vid

  • Yeah, I feel the same way.

  • i really don't like that H50 cpu cooler. in terms of practicality (efficiency + price) it's amazing. but it's just so damn ugly compared to custom (less practical) water cooling parts. i have this case, that CPU cooler DOES go with the look *rugged/bulky), i must say lol

  • Exactly, I think it fits the look nicely. :)

  • wer did u get dat side window?

  • Can i haz you pc??

    plz

you get the worlds most crappiest pc in return

  • where did you get it?

  • Sold! I'm getting that side panel. How do you like it?

  • It's great.

  • voll scheiße das fenster staut nur die ganze wärme

  • The window helped the airflow.

  • so the sniper side panel fits? Nice!

  • Nice! Check main out, i have a window too!!!

  • btw if i were you ,

i would also place the motherboard fan on the motherboard .

and let it blow over the memory cards and VRM's of the processor .

that will cool down the mem chips and save you from lag

  • Haven't had any lag and temps are great.

  • ok.

well aslong you overclock to 3.66 Ghz i guess they wont get that hot.

but if you want to let it run between 4.0 -4.4 Ghz

then you need to raise the voltages and the temps will go higher.

but you are right , if the temps are ok you dont need to do that fan.

i would not trow the old sidepanel away if i were you.

if you later decide to get 2 new videocards in your pc instead of 1, then the temps could get higher again and you will regret the sidewindow.

    you never know.

  • cool case ,im getting mine in 2 days .

still the sidepanel i dont mind .

i dont like bright lights at night anyways .

besides i need a fan in the side panel if i want to do 2 videocards

  • Hey man, so i finished my build. i'm putting a few vids on youtube if u wanted to check them out. came out mad nice.

  • Nice, about that fan.

I was thinking about getting it but I have yet to find any answers to these two questions:

Is there any cable extenders to the fans included and if so how long are they?

Can you turn of the fans with the controller by dragging those "wheels" to the left as much as possible?

Thank you in advance I'd really appreciate an answer :]

  • oops: fan connectors*

  • controller* o.o

  • The Zalman fan controller comes with 4 extensions and 2 other extensions with a splitter. They are about a foot long each. You cannot turn the fans off with it though.

  • k thanks.

  • Oh so this is the sniper panel

  • Did you make the side panel?

  • how did you cut it out?

  • There was no cutting, I bought the side panel straight from Cooler Master.

  • quick question about the case and side panel. when you put the fan on did you have to drill new holes to secure the window on the case? I read a couple good reviews about the window fitting fine but one person recieved one that didn't line up with the holes on his case and he had to drill new ones to secure it, sorry if that post didn't make much sense, I work the graveyard shift and haven't slept much this week.

  • There is no fan on the window. But I think I know what you mean. And I've answered it several times. The side panel fits snug enough on the case with out the need to screw it on. The holes for the screws do not line up, but it's no problem.

  • @Akinit haha yeah I should have read my post before posting it, I didn't mean a fan, I was trying t ask if the panel fit securely, and if it lined up or not, thanks for the reply, and answering the same questions over and over, I just found out I owe the government my life so I won't be making any new builds for a long time.

  • Hey that's ok. I owe Pennsylvania State health plan mine. They pay for my dialysis which I otherwise couldn't. I should have a new build video up, making one for a friend with the Raven 02 case. Should be bad ass and I hope you check it out.

  • @Akinit i'll be waiting for the new build video i'm currently painting my old antec 300 that i'm not using, I might do a quick video of the finished product. probably going to sell it to my brother for dirt cheap but i'll get a video up before I give it to him.

  • wat mouse pad is that?

  • Rocketfish, Best Buy branded thing.

  • is it the whole sidepanel form the storm sniper, or did you modded it?

  • Whole panel.

  • how much space do you have between your GPU and the HD/DVD bays?

  • Almost 3 inches.

  • are you using the CM Sniper Side panel window?

  • Yup.

  • so cooler master sniper side will fit in 922?

  • Yes it will.

  • how did u get side panal!?!

  • Look for it on newegg or coolermasters website. It's the CM Storm Sniper side panel.

  • where do u get that side panel do u have a link. or did u make it. dude that case is sick, i want to get a 922 haf but want the side panel w/window.

  • Look for it on newegg or coolermasters website. It's the CM Storm Sniper side panel.

  • Comment removed

  • looks good but im pleased i got the antec 1200 over this or the 932. just my opinion,

dont mean to offend your setup!

  • really like the way that looks i just got the haf 922 and that was the first thing i thought of how can i make the window bigger without it looking like crap. CM got that panel cheap on their site now. gotta scoop one of those up...

  • Thanks Akinit! It was a shame to paint my case and no one could see it without removing the side. Now its possible. I can't wait to get it. You can check out my PCs in my channel. Thanks again.

  • You've probably answered this before, but what side panel is that? I'm looking to get a bit more visibility on my 922.

  • @casos92

That side panel is a replacement for the CM Storm Sniper case and it fits HAF922 as well, you can order it from Cooler master web site.

  • Awesome build

I have a question regarding the side panel and the icage. Do they fit properly onto the haf 922?

You mentioned in a post the it fits but wont screw and you have to drill small holes in order to secure it with the thump screws. Were you talking about the icage or side window? Or do both need modification?

    Thxs

  • @arsamir09 u only need to make holes in the window. just tiny holes

  • thanks for reply

were the screws go at the back of the side panel? so the icage will fit properly and will secure with the haf 922 thumb screws?

    thanks

  • The icage fits but not with a fan, I have it sitting somewhat lose inside the drive bays. The screws for the side panels go in the normal place, you just have to make holes in the rear of the panel to fit it if you want.

  • nice setup............

  • Thank you!

  • =) !

  • iight thanks a lot man, think im gonna just mod 4 small right angle brackets because all these shits cost like $20 + shipping and im broke lol. shuddnt be too hard for me to do, i'll let u know when i do it all and upload the video. thanks again for all ur help man, ur a real life saver.

  • You're welcome. It what I do for friends and family all the time. :)

  • Just got the case last week. Installed Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm RED fans on the top and side. Its a great case, love it to death.

  • Sounds sweet!

  • alright lol well i'll probably order all my new goodies this week. haha ur gonna love my video when i post it. im gonna swap all these red fans out and make everything green. with green sound activated cold cathodes also. also getting a lcd screen fan control module for a 5.25" bay. can't wait to build it. thanks again for all ur help man, u made my life a hell of a lot easier. (and i cant find any alternatives to the iCage, are there just plain brackets i can use to mount a fan vertical?)

  • Yeah, I'll have to look for them later. I can't remember but I think Lian-Li makes them. I can't wait for your PC. Oh, have you ordered a PSU yet btw? Because Mushkin PSUs come with a green LED fan inside. I have one on my PC that is hooked up to the TV. I keep it off most of the time, but it looks sweet.

  • Yea i built the whole computer a few weeks ago, i just really dont like this side casing, my old pc looked more attractive so i kinda miss that. how do u remove that bottom fan on the front of the case (the red LED fan)? i cant seem to be able to get to the screw heads. any ideas? and do u know if a 120mm fan will fit there in its place? and here i'll post the specs of my build in another comment since im runnin outta characters

    heres the specs

  • -COOLER MASTER HAF 922 -AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core CPU -GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P AM3 DDR3 Mobo -G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM -EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX -Seagate Barracuda 7200.(1.5TB) Hardrive -LITE-ON CD/DVD Burner - Bulk Black SATA -CORSAIR (750W) -Used on a 32" LCD HDTV 1080p Adding: + NZXT Sentry-2 5.25" Touch Screen fan controller +Clear side panel +All green LED fans +Green sound activated cold cathodes
  • I'm not sure how to remove it. You may have to do some cutting and modding to get that front fan out. For the second top front fan, go to performance-pcsDOTcom and goto Case Parts, Mods & DIY then :: Bay Hardware then :: 5 1/4 Inch Bay Hardware . They have the mounts by Scythe.

  • alright cool thanks for the help man. i'll upload a vid of my build once i get the clear side and whatnot. that iCage only comes in blue LEDs? i wish they had a red one on newegg -.- but anyway... one last thing, on the bottom of the case, theres a spot for another fan, do u know what size that is? 200mm? and would you suggest i have that fan suck into the case or blow out the bottom? (i plan on having the front 2 suck in, top one and back one are blowing out) lol sry for bein a pain in the ass

  • You're welcome, and no, you're not a pain in the ass. ;)

The iCage does come with a fan that is blue LEDs, you can unscrew it and replace it with a red LED fan if you like. The bottom fan mount supports 120 and 140 mm fans and I'd recommend it as an intake fan. Hope that helps.
