  • There is no reality without consciousness because who would be there to perceive it. If you die, the entire universe dies, because the existence of the universe is predicated on your being able to perceive it through the conscious mind. With that said, how is it possible to run away from the truth at all? Adya probably realizes that it is so silly and pointless to even talk about this stuff lol. Adya is laughing in his head about how absurdly simple this all is.

  • Oneness... even writing this is duality, i should be at work lol

  • Oneness.... its easy to see why we would enter a realm of duality though considering how scary the truth can be. I mean how much bigger can it get when you take a long hard look at it all. In the end all talk is cheap, doing it is the hard thing.

  • Oneness... how much running does one man have to do to realize that its only himself hes running from, that there is and never was a race, that there never was a start or a finish, no goals or competition and that there were no competitors or even a prize to be had. My answer is... way too long.... but i had to run away to realize it. We are what we believe.

  • isnt the imagining and being lost and losing oneself completely all just part of the truth and the only thing that was ever possible to happen in that instant, with only the illusion that other things were possible, and if enlightenment comes for an individual that is still just 1 tiny part of the whole which will always be what is it as it is with not other possiblities only illusions of such.

  • Question:

does being "the one" mean i am everyone?

does oneness mean i am all people?

i am the good, bad, ugly, evil, greedy, rich, and beautiful?

or does it mean all the other people are me?

we are each other/one unity. so the nuns working in an orphanage are one with the murdering drug dealers? we are one. please someone explain?

  • @mrhorn2001 yes... i am you and you are me

  • he seems so genuine and likeable :)

  • It is not hyperbole when I say this is the most powerful Adyashanti video I've ever seen. All the others seem to get to this one lesson. One-ness. I was nearly in tears watching it. A man I've never met in my life has allowed me to open my own eyes.

If anyone is ever walking down a street somewhere and sees Adyashanti, give him a warm hug for me.

  • when i first heard adya he stopped me in my tracks too...much love to all :)

  • in other words Losing is the new winning. life really is inside out. the more you learn the further away from reallity one gets. I've spent 25 years of life getting lost and the rest trying to get back.

  • i came here to find here and now im here i realise i was never not here, so where do i go from here if im always here? when i searched for the person who asked this question in me i found nothing but here, it was like a river flowing and i got sucked into it fully!! then i went into deep meditation and felt the peace of god it was fuking unreal!! maybe the cannabis helped but hey im not denying that the here and now is every bit as good and fullfilling as the sages tell us!!

  • I think this Dude is going to take me home (wink-wink).

  • @blueudo he is gonna take you home and fuck you

  • The here & the now is just the immediacy of samsara.

  • I'm just about shit usesless at everything in this physical life and bored of most things and I'm meek so can't wait to inherent the earth. Adyashanti coming to London hooray can't wait!

  • I'd never heard of Adyashanti before but I'm stopped in my tracks, because here is someone with the ring of authenticity.

  • I like what he is saying but i tend to believe things are more limitless than what he describes. (Humans levitating/flying,teleportation,walking through walls)

I don't like the idea that he puts limits on things saying that you can never actually achieve not being where you are. What would he say about remote viewing? That those people or a part of them wasn't actually there? That would be ludicrous.

  • @mattydigs I think he just used it as a metaphor...

  • failure is the means to success, work, work, when the work is exhausted you are done and all is one

  • Also, to clarify: all has its opposite parallel; Up, down, left, right, you get it. Time and space exist as one thing, impossible without the other. God or the All Conscious is the parallel there. All colors, ideas and experiences, everything exists in that light and do so without changing form or taking any amount of time. It is all one thing all at once. So, in being the parallel to the physical, one can understand how everything in the physical world is one. Does that make sense to you?

  • @netelsg it isnt really seeing it so much as understanding that the singularity (the opposite parallel of every physical thing) of conciousness shines (to different degrees) in everything that is the universe. In your head and in plants and dirt, all of it. And that conciousness or God is without time and that the space and separation that is the physical can only be experienced through time. Its always changing and moving, but it is one thing. Like your body: always changing but still only one

  • This is so true! We need to fail so many times that we run out of ways to fail, and then everything stops!

  • so clear, wonderful, lovely!

  • Wonderful.

  • the reason why we want to divide everything up is beacause we take ourselves as the measure of everything and the measure we take is already divided so everything becomes devided due to this measure that we take and we dare take this measure for whatever enters our mind..

  • Failure is the means to success

    or as Osho once said

Only loosers win in this game - loll

  • once your spiritually enlightend all you need to do is find a way to get food and your set for life

  • ...and somewhere to sleep. You are absolutely right...

  • The best!!!..Thxx

  • Dear friends,

Before study and practise zen, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters.

When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and waters are not waters.

But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and waters once again as waters.

Can anybody explain above statements? If cannot explained, you still not enlightened.

  • only difference is the level of intimacy has changed...

you didnt care about the mountains as mountains,

when you didnt see them as you do now, as mountains, as mountains..!! you see..?

  • Thks for trying Wulfgar12. But that's not the answer. Good attempt.

  • thanks..:)

my bet was that it was the intimacy that you said the words "mountains is once again as mountains" was more profounder, than the first time.

But thanks for letting me try then=)..

  • Hm. Ill try again.

    You found your own substance

And thats what your whole world is based

on. And therefore mountain is just a mountain and water is just water

  • OK.

Ist : human attached to form thus see mountain as mountain.

2nd : Understanding No-Self and wisdom of Emptiness, you see mountain not as mountain.

3rd : Last line is after you've enlightened. You now know everything you see of this world are manifestations of your buddha nature, you then see mountain as mountain & water as water again.

  • @netelsg you dont see water, u dont see mountain....you see everything as ONE...theres no need to divide them, in the end everything is the same, everything is ENERGY...

  • @stfuuuuuuuuu Good attempt. But what do you mean by seeing everything as ONE? How?

  • @netelsg What is water before it is called water? What is a mountain before it is called a mountain? What do you see when you drop all concepts of what it is you're seeing? What do you see when you don't define what you're seeing? What do you see when you don't see things as separate "things"? The same applies to all our senses, not just visual. All is One Experience.

  • @netelsg u have been touch to seperate things...but when u were born u couldnt distinguish things because u didnt have the knowlegde, u saw everything as one, no chair, no table, no names, just the thing itself.,..everything is the same, also yourself...u and the universe r one...

  • @netelsg thres no how here...is the only thing where there are no instructions, thats way is so simple...just be

  • first of all, enlightenment isnt granted after a test. this is nonsense. (and the one) There is only the one

  • nice mug

  • Thank you for giving us your wisdom. Blessed Be and love to you Adyshanti.
