emoluvRsproductions, thanks for clarifying that for me. Back in early 2002 friends in college brought up the subject of emo and tried explaining it to me. They mentioned Dashboard Confessional, and I finally discovered them in late summer of 2002. Now I can't get enough of this band.

Then I got lost with the definition of emo when whining weirdos wearing black and eyeliner and crazy face piercings kept throwing the word around. Their so-called emo bands sound nothing like what emo really was.
