I love this guy. He is hilarious, a bit quiet and in his own world, but in a sweet way - not quite as odd as Kiprusoff and not quite as crazy as Nurminen :D. Gotta love Finnish goalies... Very calm but slightly mental anyways!

And yeah these people are right, "kari" means a rock under water. "Karin laiva onnistui kiertämään karin." means "Kari's boat managed to go around the rock/shallows/reef".

It actually does mean the things the guys stated before. It just isn't that clear when you think of it - your first thought of Kari will be a man's name. We barely use the other meaning unless in a context of ships crashing into these low under-water "rocky islands".

Yeah, it's really stupid how hard it is to follow the NHL in other countries...Hell, it's hard to really follow other teams if you're not in their area. Like, I'm moving a several hundreds of miles (I don't know what that would be in KM...I'm horrible at converting.) away from where I am now, and I'm not gonna be able to get Jackets games without paying a ridiculous amount of money for Center Ice. So I feel you. ;_;

Yes, Kari was a little sick and also someone else but I don´t remember those now. But that team doctor said that it was some kind of allergic reaction or something... And I know about that. I would also like to see Kari playing and other Finns who plays in NHL. But it´s not possible for now :(
