I am aware that Nintega had put up the arcade soundtrack of Dragon Saber already, but I never had enough interest to listen to it. I highly agree with Sunteam_Paul's opinion on the game's sound. There are a several tracks indeed that are decent, but the rest of it sounds very dull. The drums are quite good, I can say, and are on par with the drum samples for the PC Engine version of 1941.
I do wonder why humans were put on the Japanese box art for both Dragon Spirit and Dragon Saber, too, since it looks very unfitting. I didn't know that you had a CoreGrafx II, also. I always thought you only had a regular PC Engine. If Dragon Saber were to be met one day, it would be best for me to avoid the PC Engine version and seek instead a possible NES or Super Nintendo port (those are the other two consoles that I thought of to gain access to this game by some desireable mean).
They basically start of as humans who prey to the gods (ie to save the princess Alisha in Dragon Spirit and for Dragon Saber the sun god pleads the humans to help defeat the demon destroying the land) and in granting their wishes the gods transform them into dragons.
I now have both white pc engine and the core grafx II (which I just got just b4 christmas) The old white one being over 21 years old is having problems with sound as there is a lot of static distortion and I think the pin connections are rusting away.. The core grafx II is less older and works much better.
nah I re-started my pc engine collection again in 2003.
Originally I had a pc engine back in 1988~1992 then I traded it in for either the japanese white Duo-R and super famicom stuff.
I got a spare white pc engine in 2004 which when arrived from the ebay seller was broken since it was sent to my in a manilla envelop with no bubble wrap :(
Oh. I had always thought they were there just to appeal to the Japanese market. It makes me wonder, too, if the story was changed for the US version, since the humans were never really made reference (at least on the TurboGrafx-16's box art). Yes, I have noticed some static differences in this video and some of the other PC Engine videos that you have uploaded. It can't be over 21 years old since the PC Engine itself has not reached that age as of yet. It's a shame it is unable to properly work.
It's okay. I sometimes end up making miscalculations with mathematics, too. According to the hardware information found on GameFAQs, there was a PC Engine GT model released on November 8th, 1988, and I've heard that it was a slight darker color than the original PC Engine. Since the PC Engine shown here is a bright white color, its possible that it is the original model and is 20 years old.

I prefer the prequels soundtrack on the whole, but this has some good tracks in, such as stage 1, and the jungle stage.

I'll take it for room decoration! Is 21 years how long you've had it? In 2013 my Duo-R will be an antique.
