  • love it

  • a beautiful, vibrant voice! adding brass to any Christmas arrangement is so stirring.

  • a christmas classic always!! love christmas music by amy grant--check out the song breath of heaven--beautiful!!

  • chris eaton from the midlands, england composed this alternative version. has written lots of ccm music for artists such as jackie velasquez. i grew up hearing the cliff richard version. this is nice too though.

  • definitely the version i like best

  • Woke up with this in my head this morning and had to come find it here! Thx for posting! =D I really like her hair in that photo too.

  • I case you don't recognize the back-up vocal duet ("So God imparts...") that is the voice of Richard Page, later to see great success as leader and front man for Mr. Mister.

  • Right up there with Cliff Richard's version

  • I am so thankful for the gift of music!! Thx..for the musical reminder. Brings back many great memories; gives perspective on where I am now, and dreams for my own family.

  • reminds me of my college days... thnx so much4posting! :)

  • THis is the best best Christmas album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A perfectly acceptable cover of Cliff Richards original.

  • i like this song.. i take dance class and this is the song we r using in my jazz class 4 our xmas show

  • Thanks for posting. This is in my Favorites ~ it'd be great if you updated it with the song Emmanuel that it leads into...

  • i love this song! my choirs doing it for christmas!

  • im singing this in choir at my school and i love itt. good video

  • Sung by Cliff Richard in the UK many years before. Same style. Lots of people in America think their artist is the original singer with an original song and lots of people in the UK think some songs are original with an original singer, but the originals were sung first by the other artists in the opposite countries! So America think this is Amy's song, and in the UK they think it's Cliff's song!

  • @HardWarUK I'm American and I have both versions, but Cliff's version came out first. The lyrics are traditional, music written by Chris Eaton.

  • @drmjr Yup

  • It's so wonderful

  • Really brings forth the true Christmas spirit.

  • This is the coolest version of this song! Love it!

  • no one does Christmas music quite like Amy Grant. love her!

  • It's an incredible piece to do as a choir, though.

  • sounds nice, but not a fun piece to play if you've ever saw the sheet music.
