Critique: Now that you know the notes, and are likely to continue to please most audiences with this elusive delight, let me suggest you address the breath pauses which are the challenge of any flautist[e]. Then, as you may benefit from other players' renditions, especially harpists, please consider - rather than to simply step on the stepping stones along the melody [some too quickly, here] please try to pause and dance and pause. We who know the piece will thrill to a tiny fraction of delay
Very well done. This a beautiful piece of music by Debussy. I also agree it could be a bit slower & expressive, but for 1 & a half years of playing it is really very well done.
I agree. I wish I could have slowed down the accompaniment a bit, but beating my CD player was out of the question that day haha... Usually that does the trick :-D
well... i think that is really strange, if you really recorded this piece after only 1.5 years of studying.. you say that you picked up the mistakes from the recording, but i'm a flutist and i never seen a girl with 1 year of study using the vibrato and going up and down tought the notes so easily...
Yes, it was 1.5yrs. Flute isn't my first instrument. I've played clarinet for over 13 years and piano even longer. Flute came easy because its fingerings are identical to the upper registers to the clarinet. So once I could get a sound out, most of the battle was won already.
You play this piece very nice. But I think it would be better to play a bit slower. (I've learned it on harp, so maybe it's harder to play it to you on flute because of the air... then sorry :) and sorry for my english too...)
very nice,i've heard the tune on piano andguitarbefore, but this was a very good arangement. maybe held the pauses a little longer than i would, but hey, artists impression.

'très calme et doucement expressif'
This, I think, is way too fast. Take your time. Otherwise it's very good.

You should play "Clair de Lune." Can I request that? You can get the music on the internet! Email me for details, if you want.
You ROCK!!!

I've actually recorded that one. I just never got around to posting it. I don't think it's one of my better recordings, but I'll post it anyway. :-)
And thanks for the compliment!

Unfortunately, my computer microphone picks up absolutely everything haha. I was also maybe a foot or two away from the computer.
Thank you for the critique. I'll find a better way to record so that doesn't happen.
