Who cares what he put on FB? I'm more interested in the "debate" itself. I'm glad I don't live in Cali anymore...dealing with crazy laws about carrying a gun, among other things. To me, Cali's "open carry" is an invitation to jack somebody for their unloaded gun. I'm grateful for the 2/3 of this country that allow for its citizens to protect themselves.
Cops should keep their bullshit opinions to themselves and just do their job, upholding the law fairly and unbiased; this cop should be fired for conflict of interest. You think about what happens after statements are made, I think of what cause that statement to be made! Do you only worry about your vehicle when it breaks, or do you try preventative maintanance? Law Enforcement Officers are a complicated bunch! Most of them only follow the book on how to be a police officer. The very very few actually use common sense and realize that if you treat a person respectfully and try to help instead of seeing how many charges can be made, most of the time get a positve response and respect in turn! These kind of police are one in a million, the others are corrupted with the power of law enforcement!
I disagree. There are several hundred thousand (city, county, state, etc) police officers nationwide, with several million contacts with the public each day. The bad incidents (mistakes, misjudgments, improper behavior, etc) criminals, liberals, and press so loudly shout about, are clearly only a very tiny percentage of those contacts, involving only a very tiny number of those officers. The vast majority are men and women clearly trying to serve their communities well.

My outlook on that is that you have the advantage. If they catch you and you start to fight, you are at least even at that point. So I agree we should be able to carry loaded open carry, but.. I live in a state that has both southern California AND San Francisco. Both are detrimental to the second amendment

@pete5668 Oh I agree with you that the laws are horrendous here.. But how long would it take you to take it out and load a round (including racking the slide)? Maybe a strong 1 second? My outlook on that is that you have the advantage. If they catch you and you start to fight, you are at least even at that point. So I agree we should be able to carry loaded open carry, but.. I live in a state that has both southern California AND San Francisco. Both are detrimental to the second amendment

I agree on that. I just don't think he should face any official action for something he wrote on his own time. Having said that, we should realize that he's a product of the training cops get now. Its definitely from the "us and them" school. Combine that with the fact that they are trained as predators instead of peace officers(thank you war on drugs) and you have a nation of people that either hate or at least distrust cops. I wouldn't even have one in my house as a friend.

I agree with you 100% and well put. I've been trying to stir away from the 'us vs. them' mentality, but it's hard. I get sick of reading reports of cripples getting tazed and I've seen some pretty bad cops from first hand experience in my time. It's hard trying to keep an open mind when they say stuff like this idiot here did, and you're right he shouldn't be formally punished.

I've see hundreds of such statements, seriously (not jokingly) advocating the murder of police officers, right on this website. Few like you ever object to ANY of those. Why do some hate cops? Well, given America has the highest crime rates in the world with a proportionally high number of criminals, I don't think there's any mystery to that question. What I don't understand is why someone like you (assuming you're not a criminal) would adopt the same criminal-like cop-hating attitude while loudly proclaiming you need protection (in the form of a gun) from those criminals. In the fight for my family's safety, cops are the allies, not the enemy.

But, cops are from the population. Don't alienate them. Get them on our side. We don't need an adversarial relationship. I open carry on weekends, most people are very open to the information...that it is legal to do so.

The two women crawled back in through the window and called the police AGAIN. The call was logged as "investigate the trouble," but no officers were dispatched.

The men then kidnapped all three women. They forced the women at knifepoint to go to Kent's apartment where "For the next fourteen hours the women were held captive, raped, robbed, beaten, forced to commit sexual acts upon each other, and made to submit to the sexual demands of Kent and Morse."
The three victims sued DC and the officers involved for negligently failing to provide adequate police protection, but their case was dismissed. No jury ever heard any of the evidence
