The just visiting ads drive me nuts though.  Every time i see one (and it's every ten minutes when i have the tv on), I keep thinking about how immigrants must feel. If they think Ignatieff is less Canadian because he spent years abroad as an academic, then they must think immigrants are less Canadian too. no idea if i will support Ignatieff or not, but i won't be swayed AGAINST him because he's got a global perspective. Good for him, maybe for us.

PATHOLOGICAL "WE AMERICANS" LIEING IS THE ISSUE, more than his 34 years away. That kind of repititious publicly stated lies (hundreds of times) is a classic symptom of psychopathy. The lie in this video is that Ignatieff is not like the rest. They never pretended not to be Canadian. Gretzky continued to play for Team Canada. Romeo Dalaire wore a Canadian Forces Uniform. Roberta Bondar flew into space as a representative of the Canadian Space Agency.

Michael Ignatieff pretended he wasn't Canadian. He didn't promote himself as Canadian. Instead he would say, "we Americans."

One of these things is not like the rest and this video is a lie.

That's just silly. I've heard Neil Young and Alex Trebek (just for example) say "we" many times when referring to America/ans. Until fairly recently, Canadians were British subjects. Elizabeth May was born and raised in Connecticut. Does that mean new Canadians can't run for office because they once called their home countries home (and often still do)? What about Quebecers or Newfoundlanders who have an affiliation to their home province? This video isn't lying, it's showing the truth.

Love this video!!!! Personal attack smear campaigns like the one you refer to are a complete turn-off to me - enough so that I would never vote for a party that employed them (not that I have ever voted for Harper anyway). I find it unfortunate that the majority fo people don't feel the same way.

wake up. attack ads, as sad as they are, are done by every party. if you want to vote for a party that doesn't use them, you'll have to vote for one of the minor parties that has no chance of winning anything.
