I was at this concert.. two things i remember is that 99% of the crowed were sitting down during their set which meant they had no clue who they were and their volume was half as loud as when metallica came up. Oh yeah the band before them volvoid or whatever their fukin name was sucked rhino dick. Couldnt wait to see them leave
i was at this show and i was lucky enough to get meet and greet passes and i met metallica. mark morton was backstage too. it was the greatest fucking night of my life.
i saw LoG in NYC back in May and it was one of the best shows ive ever been too.
How was the crowd reaction to them opening for metallica?? Machine head is one of my favorite bands ever and when i saw them open for metallica twice, i was like the only person who had a fucking clue who MH was. hopefully LoG got a better reaction.
@ClassicColtCabana: The crowd was definitely populated with Lamb of God fans, I saw a few shirts, a bunch of people standing at the edge of the 400 section like I was...They seemed more excited than they were for Machine Head on the last go around (I saw MH open for Metallica in January 2009). Machine Head rocked it then too, but like you said, man, the mainstream metallica crowd doesn't seem to delve into much more. I only regret that I couldn't make it to one of the shows where Gojira opened!
You would have wasted your time if you went there to see LOG. they got no love from the crowed. their were some hardcore fans but the majority couldnt give a shit about them there
I like LOG but, metallica slayed the hell out of them. LOG wasnt in the same league and metallica's songs are better as well as their performance. LOG is a great underground band that occassionaly gets mainstream recognition but Metallica are just musical icons
@Gyro911 well yes, clearly, i mean i listen to Metallica a lot, and i have almost all their records, and a lot of them they made, whilst LoG didnt make as many and havent been around for as long, but i still have all their shit too. we cant forget that Metallica started off Trash Metal along with Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth. So they are real good
@Gyro911 yeah i'd have to agree with you on Anthrax, Megadeth i think deserve more attention, and yes, i agree with you on Metallica and Slayer of course. But im just stating a fact, those were the "Big 4" as theyre called.
Who was that rockabilly shit band before them, i couldnt wait for them to get off the fuckin stage.. LOG represented but, proved to be in a league way below metallica. These guys just arent in that class but a good band
badass - glad to hear/see other people enjoyed LOG. I had to flip off a group behind me who wanted me to sit during their set.....who sits at a metal show?? They were great but the volume needed to be louder, granted the save the volume for the headliner, but still. thanks for posting
I experienced the same thing, bro! You can see me standing in front in the beginning of the video (they're my favorite band, so my buddy said he'd record for me) and some dad and his son behind me asked me to either sit down or move to the side so they could keep on sitting and watch. Ummm, eff that?

Anthrax and Megadeth are a cut below. I'd put them in the same league as Lamb of God. Slayer is next in line then Metallica.
