On Older Win XP PC If i record on audacity on stereo with stereo headphones it records from the left because its a mono mic input, On Newer Windows 7 It Records on Stereo, Which is a good way to record my voice in stereo when i sing

If used in a computer put the headphones in the audio out jack the speak into the left headphone for plane audio recording use a program called sound recorder it comes standard on all windows computers

It works pretty well with these Sony Stereo headphones I'm using. :) Just don't pull it to close to your face. Wear it around your neck instead because It looks cooler and sounds better! XD

Hey guys, I have found away that works on both vista and xp and i think even 7. You plug any set of headphones in to the mic slot on your computer. Then go to Control panel, sound, recording. Microphone FP, properties, levels if not full change both or just 1 to full.

Piezoelectric headphones generate power from sound and sound from power, which allows the head phones to act as a either a speaker or microphone.. The reason the headphones don't record you that loud is because in many microphones they have conductor coils that amplifies the power. But like you said.. some headphones don't work at all it is because they use another type of piezoelectric system.. Nice video.. but maybe you should update this one a little bit..

I actually don't have an external mic for my videos, the reason for that is because my camera doesnt have a mic input so I cant use any of the mics that I have lying around. As far as a mic to buy, well let me just say you really don't need to spend too much money on a mic, for the most part, unless you spend a few hundred dollars you wont notice any difference.
