  • is there a way that you can use the track pad like how you were able to do with 1.5, it came ready to use out of the box but with 2.0 you have to use the learn function to route the effect to it. Thanks

  • @calambredaboss The XY pad was already pre-mapped for me. You just have to hit the MIDI button and then the buttons under the pad to choose which effect you want to control. Sometimes that red box which shows you which effect you're controlling is hidden in the 3rd and 4th effect tab.

  • @traincrossing9 oops,it was hidden in the other decks and I didn't notice thanks a lot for letting me know. 2.0 is pretty good so far minus the fact that gorss beat vst and other image line vsts don't work on it, sucks because gross beat is my favourite effects vst, I downlaoded izotope stutter edit though, not as good but w/e. Do you have the full version yet? if not let me know.

  • @calambredaboss I haven't really played around with VSTs too much besides one for a crusher effect. It's a bummer that one doesn't work though. I don't have the full version yet.

  • want to ask you another question bro i bought torq like i said 3 month ago and i register it yesterday in website question is can i download the full version troq 2.0 for free now ???

  • @OUWATZAHLE08 If you bought an Xponent or Conectiv and got Torq after 1/13/2011, you should be eligible for a free upgrade to 2.0.

  • YES YES THNAX YOU BRO I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ITS VERY EASY I WILL TRY IT TONIGHT :) I HAVE ALSO THE NANOPAD WIL TRY IT ALSO :) GREAT

  • want to ask you can you use the nanokontroll with 2.0?

  • @OUWATZAHLE08 Torq 2.0 is compatible with any MIDI controller. I doubt there's a preset MIDI map for the Nanokontroll, but all you have to do to assign buttons is right click whatever in Torq and then hit the button you want to control that on your controller, really easy.

  • i have 2.0 and like on my itunes playlist i accidently clicked the "song" title and idk how to put it back to the order it was before... do you know how??

  • @tijeffery509 Click whatever other title you want it to be organized by. Artist, song, album, bpm, anything. Click the same title a second time and it will reverse the alphabetical order it's organized in.

  • @traincrossing9 but the thing is, i have playlist i made on itunes and i wanted to put it back to the order i added them as not by artist, song, albulm or whatever

  • @tijeffery509 Ohhh, I see what you mean now. Hmm, the only thing I can think of is just restarting Torq, refreshing the folder, or just trying to load the folder again. I really don't know.

  • i use torq with timecode vinyl...torq 2 is a waste of time for me..im sticking with 1.5

  • what songs are you playing?

  • @admooner Songs are Disco Tiger by Pam Pero and Give It Up For Me by Sydney Blu.

  • you can use 4 timecoded vinyl ? like traktor?

  • @SileDevil According to Avid/M-Audio on Twitter, yes it is! twitter.com/#!/AvidTechnology/status/34698650919641088

  • @SileDevil Weird, Twitter link isn't working when I copy and paste. Just head to twitter (dot) com/AvidTechnology and search for tweets directed towards DJPJmix. They actually sent me two tweets. One said yes and it will be in the FAQ soon. The other said theoretically yes, but they haven't tested it yet. Hope that helps!

  • @SileDevil

torq has not released an interface that supports more than two external decks (vinyl or cd). Traktor has audio interfaces that can support four external decks so you can take full advantage of the four decks within the software. Hopefully a new interface for torq will be released soon.

  • @MjackL100 you an use the 4 deck interfaces made for traktor, in torq. In fact you can use any audio inputs from just about any sound card (except m-audio fast track for some reason) and hook vinyl timecode to that.

  • the browser system is the same ....

  • @matsgaylord The way you browse through the songs yes, but there's a new Crate feature, you can use your iTunes playlists, and they've organized the folders and database differently. Also, I think they've changed the GUI so the browser and player use different parts of the computer's processor so it's quicker. In full browser mode you can see the waveforms for each track at the top.

  • please show the config for external on 4 decks!!! Thank you

  • @12yanV Well I don't have any decks for external control, but i'll see what I can do!

  • @12yanV As I said before I don't have any decks to show off external control. I would recommend looking through other YouTube videos for that. Torq basically looks the same in external mode, except instead of some of the pitch controls and stuff you see a circle with a line which is the virtual version of your deck (like in Serato). I asked Avid on Twitter if you could use 2 Conectivs and 4 turntables or CDJs to control all 4 decks in Torq 2.0 and they said yes, definitely new and exciting!
