  • this is shit...............such crap

  • @thegwr450 Whats that? ur a fuckin gaylord? ohh poor you

  • @thegwr450 Mmmmmmm, you liked a Bon Jovi song.Oh dear

  • Looks like he is using the new LION OS on that computer, cos thats how it makes my laptop feel...

  • Actually it is on Hardest Hits Volume 2, by SPG Music Ltd of Toronto. Hardest Hits is collection of early 80s alt music that was very hard to find on vinyl in Toronto when it was issued. The cds are sometimes on Amazon. More to the point, I love this song, and Peter Gabriel is just the piece de resistance

  • Good times....Still holds true today!

  • This song riocked my soul when I was a teenager but I never knew who sang it until now when I punched in part of the lyrics. I love Google and You Tube.

  • this is the kind of lost 80's i like to stay lost to keep just for us. thanks for posting!

  • I'm willing to bet Australia was one of the few countries where this was a huge hit. In the 70's and 80's many left of centre classics like this made the top ten on aussie radio.

  • I remember hearing as a kid when this came out - that the released version was a rehersal... hence the prompts and the prompts stayed.

  • OMG I remember roller skating to this .....great song , great memories

  • brilliant song.. Peter Gabriel singing in the background

  • wow I have this on an old tape somewhere. Thanks for posting ;-)

  • He says "Jake "., who is his synthesiser player .., nah I"m just joking I dont know what he said lol :P

  • Thanks for putting this on youtube. Only literally just discovered it, and now will try and find the vinyl on ebay or somewhere!

  • Love it....I remember meeting my best friend 10 yrs ago and he had this in his music collection. I was the only person he knew who saw it and reacted so enthusiastically. It had been one of my faves in early 80's.

Did not occur to me at the time...this is about Nuclear war?

  • Damn, fella! My appreciation of this song hasn't diminished over time - not sure about the remix, but

  • @downunderMAW what remix?

  • I love this tune, have it on vinyl :-)

  • hey says "J" ... and videos shows a "G" ... WTF!

  • one of the great song you don't hear very often on the radio anymore i love the song

  • classic tune

    seldom played these days

    great memories !!!!!!

  • Hey I've been chasing this song on and off, no luck, for about 20 years ! An absolute classic. Look forward to getting it on download or CD now. No 80's collection can be complete without this classic ! Rock-on Johnny W. :-)

  • @redfern03

It is on a cd collection called "from the vaults". 2 cd set. Brill set too. Has Golden earring and a few others on it too :o)

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song. Brought back some great memories seeing the vid again. This still gets regular air play in Perth, Australia. Shows how a classic can stand the test of time. Johnny Warman, talk about your underrated talent.

  • Great to see that Johnny Warman has responded her himself! I love this song with its suggestive beat. Just linked this at my Facebook site. I've got the vinyl singel but I'm looking forward to be getting it on CD as well. Hard or difficult to find so far. So, Johnny, good news!

  • What an outstanding find!!! I havent heard or thought of this song in so long it aint funny!!!

Great tune, and clip for its day! It was a bit out there, but love it

    Thanks for posting.

PS: CaveatScoti - I remember it years ago on one, I only used to buy "various artist" cassette's back in the day! It had to be on one of em.

  • Light years ahead of its time.....

  • Definately hear the peter gabriel in this song

  • This guys trippin,heheh

  • Signed to Elton Johns Rocket Records this got embarrassingly little promotion and even less air play - I only heard it thanks to the late great Peely. Bought this in the old Virgin Megastore, London, never regretted it. It had enough 'thump' to shake the living room ceiling and the screaming bits didn't half make my neighbours dog howl!!! A professional talented musician, a well crafted album, even the cover was well done --- badly let down by the £20 they spent promoting it. What a waste

  • @FoolOfGods Dear Fool of Gods, Thank you so much for your very kind words about my music and song. I am still active in the music scene but not doing enough to promote my own music. I am re releasing "Walking into Mirrors" on Angel Air Records to celebrate its release 30 years ago. Kind Regards Johnny Warman

  • @Mirrors81 Dear Mr Waughman, Many thanks, used to work in the record library of local radio station, we (the plebeian staff) genuinely expected your music and thereby 'you' to be widely recognised - given that your sound was welcomed as a cross between Roger Waters, Cluster (Eno) and John Foxx (bless him)! I've bought and listened to 'From the Jungle' and 'Hour Glass' ... good works that have stood the test of time ... John Peel once described 'Walking into Mirrors as 'hmm ... remarkable'.

  • @Mirrors81 Great to see that Johnny Warman has responded her himself! I love this song with its suggestive beat. Just linked this at my Facebook site. I've got the vinyl singel but I'm looking forward to be getting it on CD as well. Hard or difficult to find so far. So, Johnny, good news!

  • oh bring back the 80s i was young and music was cool like the fashion lol

  • love this song, always have!!!!peter gabriel is great....

  • ABSOLUTE CLASSIC - HAUNTING

  • Funnily enough Gabriel was heavily involved in "The Dreaming" as well and collaborated a lot with Bush. She did the backing vocals on "Games without Frontiers".

  • when i was i teenager i found this song to be a bit haunting

  • poor johnny warman then!

  • What a fantastic song!!!!! I love this song

  • I thought it was num num num num num...

  • Don't know ant other where singer cues the nexr lyrics....chorus,...again!

  • Yes, that is very unique. He also cues the what note the next section of the song is coming up. A, G, etc. Cool!

  • Great track...it's a shame he didn't go on to bigger and better things.

  • Who wore this outfit first? This dude or kate Bush in The Dreaming?

  • Thank you very much for posting.

First time I went to a Disco they played this wonderful song. Then I bought his LP.

It was my best LP for quite a long time.

He is the War Man but just in name.

No more War, no more screaming jets but...

    ... always this great song!

  • Gabriel makes this song!

  • Martian Summer was his Best

  • dum dum dum dum dum

  • One of those great singles that NEVER EVER shows up on any 'best of the 80's' compilations.

  • @CaveatScoti

Look at this video when its off sync. Looks even better & more artistic. Num num num..
