This show is soOOO funny, almost up there with "Curb..." i.m.o, but it was watched by about 12 people in Britain. As far as I can tell there's no DVD released yet either, so it's in real danger of sinking into oblivion as far as the UK is concerned. (Meanwhile the XFactor gets 20 million viewers a week! That's crazy people in Britain didn't like it. But I can kind of understand why. American humor is a lot different, so what's funny here really isn't as funny there. I thought it was hilarious and have recorded all of the series. Hopefully it comes out in England again as I'm moving there next year. LOL. Otherwise I'll have to wait for the DVD.

I disagree with you when you talk about this show. The show is based on socially awkward situations/silences. This pretty much stemmed from the Office which, of course, originated from the UK. Of course other shows have also done this before 2000 but these were also from the UK i.e. Alan Partridge. This show I think lacks exposure in other countries outside of the US.

@thetalkincow Oh, yeah, "the office" invented comedy based on socially awkward situations. come on, that is what pretty much all comedy is based on, having a reasonable person or people in an unreasonable situation and watching them react, basically all comedy is based on that, pranks, sitcoms, ect ect.

Both the us and uk versions of the office are mostly stupid, the uk version is basically the boss incessantly rambling to himself with no one paying attention. that is not funny.
