  • not impressed. Very poorly filmed/captured.

  • It´s ok, the most important thing is the feedback from everybody.

    Have a nice day !

  • Take it easy everybody, I think our friend made a little mistake. The concept is right but the angle should be equal to Inv Tang of .75 (3/4), meaning 36.8699 degrees in order to keep the hypotenuse in 5.

In the other hand keeping in mind the values of o=3, a=4 and an angle of 60 the right answer is an hypotenuse equal to 3.46 as you mentioned it earlier.

  • Spotted ages ago and I'm sorry that I've been to lazy to fix my mistake. It is as you say and apparently you cant just make up random triangles so again sorry

  • are you form south africa?

  • I know this is an old vid, but I wanted to thank you for explaining the process so clearly. After banging my head against the wall with textbook examples, I am finally getting some correct answers. You have a gift for instruction!

  • huh I thought my account was deleted ages ago. Glad I could help you Jenn and err dont bang your head against a wall even if its with a textbook..... I dont have a gift for instruction ^^ but thanks for the flattery!

  • You can't just randomly make up a triangle to fit this, can you? Is that why it doesn't work?

Oh Well, thanks for this I've got my SAT'S coming up and I need to learn it at home because at my school everyones too stupid.

So this has kind of helped.

    Thank you ! Katie x =)

  • how does 3/sin60=5? it equals 3.46, doesn't it??

  • Its not sine, its sincose; or sin. not sine. js so you know.

  • Its not sine, its sincose; or sin. not sine. js so you know.

  • wait im confused....... 3/sin60 equals 3.46..

  • see if yor calculator is in degrees or radians, that may solve the problem.

  • yo dude this video was a big help thanks alot.\

  • thanks this helped lots :)

  • hahah sonny what a gun at maths =D

  • you are a bunch of dorks and have never talk to girls antisocial retards

  • So we learn and are Auto antisocial then? Alright. I want you NEVER to learn or teach someone else how to do something. oh wait. Thats not physically possible unless you live a mundane life. Lets see if you can get a girl by being a complete dumbass. Most likely you are one of those insignificant specks of a person who cant accept others doing something to help others in need. Good comment though. Nice to see that people shun learning, something which makes the whole world work.

  • why bother to look at this vid? lol and because we actually want to do well in life means we are antisocial vampires who never talk to anyone and can't get girlfriends? :P

  • actually im a girl and need help with trig thanks this helped a little : )..

  • you need to use high resolution camera

  • I will use a high resolution camera when i have enough money for one.... rightnow its my mobile K750i phone all the way

  • Good efford, but there's a small error. The triangule 3,4,5 doesn´t have any angle of 60 degrees. That's why 3/sin(60º) is not equal to 5, but, ~3,46.

  • Smart... but this error has already been pointed out by someone else. Sorry...

  • Yes, you're right. My apologies.

  • hahaha my teacher used the same exampless

  • thanks bro

  • great vid!! thanks soo much

  • thanks this helped a lot, i'm going to do better then i would of done in year 9! woow hoo

  • wow im 14 years old and i know that when you have a 60-30-90 right triangle then the hypotenuse is going to to be twice as long as the side opposite to the 30 angle is going to be half the hypotenuse. so there is no triangle with sides 3-4-5 and angle 60. pwnage lol jk

  • Ok Ok i'm sorry that i couldnt think of a better example off the top of my head and that i dont use words like pwnage.

  • God bless you...thank you../atl ga...older people returning to school;

  • thank you so much ...god bless you

  • God bless you and thanks very much...keep doing what your doing

  • OMG I LOVE U SOOOO MUCH U HELP ME!! because iam crap at trig and iam taking my GCSEs and anyways thank u soo much...... have u made any other vids (*.-) thanxxx

  • thank you!

  • Weill I just took my final, and like I said, there was a lot of trigonometry on it. But it was pretty easy thanks to your video XD

  • lol thanks

  • thanks

  • Thank you, this really did help, I have a geometry final in about and hour and I already know most of it is about Trigonometry.

By the way, my teacher taught me a good way to remember the ( sin, cos, tan) Soh-Cah-Toa

Soh- The S is for (sin) and the oh is for (opposite over hypotenuse)

    Soh- (sin) opposite/hypotenuse

    Cah- (cos) adjacent/hypotenuse

    Toa- (tan) opposite/adjeacent

    Soh-Cah-Toa

  • Side long 4 is shorter than 3 one? XD

  • so what is the point of tan? if you use sin for angles and cos for angles what do you use tan for??

  • didn't i cover that? oh wells... Tan is for when you dont have a hypotenuse to work with and its more accurate that takin pythagoras rule for hypotenuse. Tan is opposite over adjacent...Funny your the first person to notice...

  • maybe i missed it ^^' anyways thank you.

  • An easy way to remember the ratio's are SOH (Sine= opp/hyp) CAH (Cosine= adj/hyp) and TOA (Tangent= opp/adj)

The last 2 letters in SOH, CAH, TOA represent the ratio's used in finding our variable.

  • Do Tangency?

  • lol...u r pretty good...wanna help me with my calculus homework??

  • dude i dunno why but it says that i'm 29... I'm actualy 15.

  • in your drawing of a right triangle with legs 3 and 4 and angle of 60 degrees..first of all its a pythagorean triple..example: 3-4-5..15-20-25..etc. but there is a special rule for a 30-60-90(measures of the angles) triangle the side opposite the 30 degree angle would b x and the side opposite the 60 degree angle would be x times the square root of 3 and the side opposite the 90 degree angle is 2x..but it also contradicts the pythagorean theorem which u stated

  • I know, just using an example. The only problem is that i don't know who would be watching this and i hoped no one would notice, but ha. You caught me

  • come again? sorry this is just an example. I'm not actually 29, some mistake in the form. Think i may have scrolled downwards. Thanks for the heads up though
