@jjltang As far as I know, the Hi-ougi are only active in Mania difficulty. We actually do spam those in our Mania replay which we stopped a long time ago :P. Only got up to Undine.

a little known secret; if you controll someone other than reid, then Nereid wont cast the insta-kill attack when nearly dead

@DSLegacy9 She never casts the Finality Deadend if only Reid is alive at the end of the battle. I have played many a times and everyone dies by the end, only Reid remains standing and I never saw her use the finality deadend.

How do you use "Undulation of Whirling Light" and "Infinity reviver"? Because I managed only just to destroy Nereid without using those powers, how do you unlock them and use them?

In sequence - Square, X, Circle..on each occurrence, to counter Nereid's special attacks.

They are unlocked as part of the Trials of Seyfert. And only usable during the final battle with Nereid.

@santadewaffle no. u know the tomb of regulus? it's the boss there much stronger than shizel's. shizel has a final trump card. but in the boss in labyrinth. he has a skill named guillotine strike that damages for 20k. :)) and tales of destiny is 150 max level..not 99

It is difficult to get netplay working. There are online groups that have adapted and configured ePSXe to play particular games such as Tekken and ISS Pro 2.

The plugins are easy to find, just search for ePSXe plugins.

We're currently playing through Tales of Eternia on Mania (Ultimate). That's the only way to unlock Nereid's Labyrinth.

Didn't use spectacles. It's just on Normal. =p

That really depends on the game. For example, we couldn't get FF6 Anthology to work at all due to the random encounter, and how the attacks/skills being random on both sides. GT2 Arcade Disc might work.but we never tried it. Puzzle games work quite well, by the way. We played Arkanoid and Super Puzzle Fighter and there were no desync issues.

Both of us use epsxe 1.6.0. It's the only version that works with PS4Net.

If I recall..you have to go to the Menu, Formation..then select your 2P character. Then press Select during battle to switch from Automatic to Semi-Auto or Manual.

Hey, does the P2P version of Kaillera work? We use Hamachi to connect and he can connect to me fine but I can't to him eventhough we use Hamachi.

P2P Kaillera works. We just used it to play ToE JP not too long ago. High-ping connections will require +4 or more frame smoothing.

Make sure that Hamachi is the first preferred connection method. Control Panel -> Network -> Network Connection. Advanced drop-down menu. Advanced Settings. Bump Hamachi to the first one on the list.

Sounds like a desync problem. You should be using PS4Net in addition to P2P kaillera. Make sure that PS4Net is selected in the Netplay plugin settings. Cyberpad is beyond broken.

to activate that counter skill (Eternal Infinity or Undulation of Whirling Light/Infinity Reviver), Press and HOLD X, [] and O the moment nereid activates either Darkness to the Outer Limits/Infinity DeadEnd or Eternal Finality.

I even have defeated shizel without using aurora wave (the skill you always use to counter shizel's dark aurora arts including eternal finality). This is an easy game.

Why do you guys says that shizel is the hardest to fight? Have you guys go to the tournament and fight crash and his little witch. Or have you try to fight Nereid at Nereid labyrinth? Those are harder.

You know there are secret combo moves after the chaos move and the flying phoenix moves, these should be your primary moves for reid, I think u kept down, down and square after the move and you sill see a flash of his face all over screen the screen then he goes off screen and flys back in with extra damage, been so long since I played though so ive forgot the name of the moves ect ect

Make sure that you enable XA sound in the sound plugin option, otherwise you won't hear any combat voiceovers.

Minor response - EPSXE Multitap does NOT work with Tales of Destiny 2 US. If you're attempting to 3/4P Netplay it..prepare to be disappointed. Custom P2P Kaillera client, with lag adjustment set to Always, however, guarantees a perfect sync for at least three hours.

i gave meredy ice so she could use absolute, since nurse isn't worth having in the least, restore makes up for everything also if she has two mystic symbols like mine then heal is everything you need since it heals about 3000 hp each time...

That's where you're wrong. Restore is kind of bad since it affects a narrow area and requires all 4 characters to be close by, something that can't be done at times. If there's a healing spell that's not worth having, it's Restore.

But Restore heal more a lot than nurse do! I think there's a command like "gather round" so you could heal everyone in one time. Well, u dont suggest that cause there must be someone who go on with the attack.

So you can heal twice, like restore those who at the frontline, and some at the back.

If you have a Mystic Symbol, Heal is all you need, due to very fast casting. At least I could do very well with Heal alone.
