@theerasmussoldier it's a breton song (from Morbihan) but it was made famous by Stivell in the 70's. And i don't know why, but german and dutch people love celtic music (more than in France) so it was adapted by local bands. I know Wat Zullen We drinken, great song too :)
@smokabababylon maybe because dutch and german people are less nationalistic then the people in other counties like france or england for example? maybe the general population in countries like them give less about other cultures? say it if i'm wrong. but i do know that in france they've got a law that says that French is the one and only language of the Republieke. and that's why they don't support other languages or dialects, which i think is terribly awfull.

The history of breton people in France is terrible : our language was forbidden, children in school were punished if they were caught speaking it. Yes French is the only official language of France and it's i think the only country which has not signed the "European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages".
