Other ports of CVS2: DC is flawless, PS2(NTSC) is flawless too and has no bilinear filter (pro or con,it depends on tastes), PS2(EU) has 50hz/blackbars issue. Xbox is EO but without GC's color issues

Sadly something went wrong in the sprites' color palette in the gamecube port. lots of blues became greenish and lot of char skin (sagat, zangief for example) is over saturated and completely messed up that it makes them look awful. I am a devote of this game and i have all versions. And since GC is my favorite of last gen console, it's very sad it's the only port who suffer this thing.

@missbkitty1 There's 6 grooves, C,A,P,S,N,K. They allow different abilities like run or dash, air block, different super gauges and lots more. It actually adds a lot of depth and I'm not gonna pretend to be uber, I'm not, so I usually pick the C groove as it is similar to Street Fighter Alpha. The best thing is though, it actually tells you in the corner what the abilities of the groove are, when you are choosing your groove.

k-groove scare the shit out of me when i'm fighting the bosses because that groove gives those bosses easy super and i can easily get 1-hit ko killed by their super. k-groove super is equivalent of c-groove's lvl 3 super. anyway, guile, ryu, kyle, and chun-li are the most annoying opponents because they block alot more than the other characters.

this was the easiest game version of street fighter i think. i used to play all these stuffs back then. this game was soo fun and the characters scene b4 the battle starts is hilarious. the hardest difficulty lvls is easy actually if you're used to the gamecube controller like me. i always liked to pull off a lvl 3 super move against my opponent and it was fun to see who's super is the strongest.

I play this on my actually gamecube system when it first came for it. Still one of my most favorite gcn games and right to next to it is the resident evil games, soul cailber 2, phantasy star online, wind waker, and Mario party 5, and luigi mansion.

@nintendoboy17 The reason  for that is because the gameCube was not good for the game. I loved the PS2 and Xbox versions, because the controls worked. So what I did? I had to buy a GameCube arcade stick! After buying it, I felt like I was playing the PS2 and Xbox versions!

So by EO, I can easily pull off Super moves (Shinkuu Hadouken, and such) with ease? Because I don't think the Gamecube pad is forgiving for a double QCF motion to pull off Supers.

I want to get this game as I love playing on the Gamecube, but are the controls really as crippling as I have heard ? Can i still pull off basic combos or assign moves to certain buttons ?

@cruiser1990 You can have a 6 button control which once you get used to the pad isn't that bad. There is an EO mode which assigns special moves to the C-Stick, I don't use this mode really. These kind of games are always better with an arcade-style stick, so try looking for one of those, but the Gamecube pad isn't all that bad.

@cruiser1990 It's over exxaggerated. While you won't be able to use all 6 buttons effectively, you can at least fight adequately enough with 4, as the shoulders do suck for this game (thanks crapcom for making us press ALL THE WAY DOWN). You can do the combos and shit.

The stick works just fine. Pad too.

Even though I own the Dreamcast import copy (and the import of part one too) I bought the game for Xbox which I use a Sega Saturn controller using a controller adapter ( I use a Sega Saturn controller on Dreacast too). For the Gamcube version I use the SNES controller (or in my case a SNES arcade stick) using a SNES Retroport to use a SNES Pad as a Gamecube controller.
