Excellent to see that pontus is still playing the Dragon! I played him twice in junior international tournaments, drawing once (luckily!) and losing to his Dragon the following year in Hallsberg, Sweden. Great commentary!
maybe carlsson had Qc7 pinning the c4 pawn and also nullifying any possible white counter -attack on the d -file with the black queen pinned to his bishop and also anchoring the d pawn push on the next move d5, qc7 also frees up the rook for a latter tempo check on b8...the best for white actually seems to be contering Qc7 w/ g5 which of course leads to alot of head spinning lines like Rb8+ etc...my question is what is whites best reply to Qc7 and if Qc7 is even a viable continuation after bxc4?
at 3:42 (with the rook/knight sacrifice) I like black's position much more. White's knight is pinned to his queen (by the bishop on g7 easily opened by any knight moved) black has a series of punishing queen and rook attack on the king and white's attack has been blown away.
Nice one Manju. Great commentary and analysis. GM Negi is another in a long line of talented juniors being churned out by the Indians (and the Chinese.) GM Pontus Carlsson is the strongest black player on the planet right now and only the 2nd black GM in history. Maurice Ashley (USA) was the first. Zambia's Amon Simutowe has made his final GM norm, but needs to reach 2500 Elo to be awarded the title.
Nice one. Think your right, the sac of the Knight on f5 had to be played earlier. Such is the importance of timing in chess. Miss one opportunity at this level and your lost!
great video!very well done majnu!!!

what the hell ,rybka would take the dam rook, and then show us (humans) some respect by killing black in less than 10 following moves
