  • what do you mean when you said you will definatly need a " slip yoke eliminator if you have a 4.5 inch lif? im in the middle of putting a 4.5 inch lift on my 87 comanche.

  • I also have 4.5 and no SYE but I have 6 degree shims and a 1 inch crossmember drop

  • now u can fix the rust witch you should have done first

  • I have a 1996 cherokee i am wantin to lift and i was wonderin would it be possible to fit 33's with a 4.5in lift w/o rubbing.

  • @The87wrangler You'll need to trim the fenders to fit 33" tires.

  • yikes, good luck with the stock upper control arms

  • cool video, but it is far from "short"

  • lol license plate EGG

  • So Im just starting to get into jeep cherokees and whatnot and I need to know, what's it called when You stick the wheels out a few inches from the wheel well?

  • looks funny with stock tires

  • beastly! i too have a country, all stock 70k looking for my first mod.

  • time for some tires? Check my vid if you get a chance. I love the Country's!!!

  • idk if this question has been asked but i have a friend that has a cherokee and he wants to lift it but we been wondering if u have to do anything with ur driveshaft with the 4.5" lift?

  • hahahahahah your jeep has lil wussy tires

  • nice man, but the stock rims and those tires dont look right with that lift, and if you havent got a set of lockers yet, get some.

  • Before was perfect for me, haha

  • now get rid of those kellys.

  • haha needs bigger tires looks funny with stock little wheels

  • rofl god i hate those damn stock jeep rims

  • do a side by side IMO. would be even more dramatic.

  • I am thinking about getting a 3" rough country lift and was wondering if i will need a slip yoke eliminator running 30" tires.

  • @crapgeey May not be needed for 3", but definitely for 4.5".

  • @packie81 i have a 3 and my jeep didnt need it if that helps you

  • @crapgeey i got 4 inch rough country lift and run 31s on my cherokee no slip yoke needed

  • @crapgeey I dont have one with my 4.5, and i have no vibration at all. I've always heard that 6 inches is when you have to get an SYE.

  • put some wrangler rims on that bad boy

  • im sure you get endless questions but im wanting to get a rough country 3" lift with add a leafs for my 2000 XJ. The 4x4 outlet im buying from is saying i should buy full brand new leafs cause the add a leaf will still bend outa shape. is this fact? or do they just want more money from me?

  • @AthensWarier21 I've been told many times that full leaf packs are the only way to go. I haven't used add-a-leafs before so I can't comment on their worthiness, but my springs were too far gone for add-a-leafs to do anything!

  • @AthensWarier21 DO NOT BUY ADD-A-LEAFS!!!! had one on my old xj a 3" rough country add a leaf and it was way too big of a hassle trying to reset the axle and actually wound up breaking the drive shaft once because of it.....gotta rough country 3.5" on my new xj..way worth the extra money to get full spring packs...saved alotta headache from putting it together

  • @AthensWarier21 Hey man I have a 2000 XJ sport too and mine has a Rusty's 3" add a leaf suspension lift and the added leaf did wander off from center just a little but it did not in any way effect it's performance. If you want, shoot me a message with your e-mail and I'll send you pics of it.

    Hope this helps,

    Zach

  • @AthensWarier21 Thanks for the input everyone i think i will go with the full leafs. just sounds more promising and i cant afford to have problems or go back to it down the road.

  • @AthensWarier21 I have a 31in rough country lift in my 86 cherokee and im running 31s. the add-a-leaf work great for me. It sits level but sags allittle in the back but nothin u can really notice. But the rough country front springs are stiff as fuck... Go with skyjacker soft ride its worth it.

  • @AthensWarier21 Do yourself a favor and get the full leaf packs. Add-a-leafs are harder to install and they wont do nearly as much for your lift/ suspension performance.

  • is that front bumber stock? if so it was pointless to put those D shackles on there....u will rip the bumber clean off the first time u go to yank on it....but nice jeep...i want that lift and the rear bumber....very nice...check mine out and tell me what you think

  • @15Hunter47 Shackles are not connected to the front bumper. There's steel frame work attached to the frame. I just used the stock bumper to cover it up.

  • @packie81 ohhhhh okay makes since..haha nice job

  • @15Hunter47 if u noticed that where the d rings are is where the bumper is cut out

  • @WildWilliePixvid haha yeah i wasnt payin attention....and i jus put a 6in lift on my jeep

  • @15Hunter47 man, my mom just sold her 94 jeep cherokee sport for a little fuckin dodge neon. i was gonna get her to let me start working on it because i was gonna buy it off of her and get her something newer when i got the money but she sold it and bought that fuckin neon. but hey, what could i do, it was still hers, hah. when i get enough money, im buying one just like it or similar to it and get bumpers, a small lift, some engine mods for the 4 liter and definantly a set of lockers for it.

  • @CumminsCrazedredneck damn that sucks...i got my xj from my mom haha

  • @15Hunter47 gonna use it for huntin and basic transportation. and the funny thing is, i live in maryland and we get snow around here. that lil neon aint goin nowheres if we get a big storm.

  • hope you're plannin on gettin some 33's on that pup (if you haven't already)

  • hey did you have to buy a new track bar and new brakelines when you bought this kit? possibly UCA's? I'm debating whether the rubicon express 4.5 lift is worth the money..

  • mm those finders look like they wanna be cut :D

  • SYE?

  • How much did it cost you and how high? Is that a 6.5?

  • was that a body or suspension lift

  • suspension

  • @TheACguy1 suspension lift.. 4.5 RC kits are pretty popular.. go full leafs...

  • man need some mud tires for this thing now and rims and you would be ready to go for a long time and that would be one beastly jeep

  • @Muddrman300 for mud tires on the road, it might not be as long as you'd like... :)

  • dude send me a lift to new brunswick lol... i have a 97 sport how much lift is that? how is the ns lifted vechicles thing going?

  • @rumswigger ebay has the 4.5 RC lifts for like $740 shipped est.

  • oh man your old springs had sagged like an old girls tits! with some phat meats thats gonna be f~#ng sweet

  • my 91 sits the same yours did be 4 looks liek u need some undercoating now u can see more looks sweet i plan on the same thing with my tax return

  • i plan on getting the same lift

  • how big of a tire are you gonna run jw?

  • how much lidt was that, how much, and yeah need some tires.mmm yeah tires

  • Nothing like a lift to bring out those drive axles!

  • that is sweet just drop the t-case insted of the SYE still looks great u going 33's or 35's

  • Can Anyone Say Super Swampers?!

  • sweet i say keep the stock tires on for ultimate flex!

  • why dont you just put any 33 tire on it. i mean any mud terrain/knoby tire would look fucking manly

  • How Much did it cost to install that lift kit ?? im thinking of doing that to my jeep to

  • You need some 33'' BFGoodie ATTs my friend

  • naw, now he needs some 33x12.5 mickey thompson baja claws

  • What Did You Have to Do To The Front Drive Shaft? And Rear If Anything

  • Nothing to the front drive shaft. I had to carve some clearance into the yoke in the rear to stop a nasty vibration; rear slip yoke eliminator is the proper fix. I'll get to that soon.

  • lol my dad did a 6 " pro comp lift with 39s in 4 hours on his 85 suburban

  • are you sure its only a 4.5" lift? it looks like 6. where did you buy from?

  • It's a Rough Country 4.5" full rear leaf lift kit.

  • @rimjock81 it looks 6" because of the small tires.

  • was it a farely easy task i am going to put a 3.5 rubicon express on mine and i dont want to take it to the shop and it cost more then the lift to install any help would be great

  • I paid a shop to do it. The kit was ~$800 and it cost ~$400 for a shop to install it. Only took them 8 hours and would have taken me at least 2 full days.

  • sweet guys thanks and also did you have to have a trasfer case drop

  • Rough Country kit comes with a 1" cross member drop.

  • its really not that hard. get a good coil compressor and use lots! and i mean LOTS of PB blaster to loosen the bolts from rust. i broken 1 or 2 when i did my lift. but its fairly easy a whole day deal though

  • I have a 94 cherokee and im probably going to put the same lift on it, do i need anything else besides the kit and the stablizer??

  • The kit is all you need.

  • thanks alot man

  • were the sway bar disconnects part of the lift or did you buy them separately?

  • The Jeep doesn't have sway bar disconnects, however, the kit did come with longer sway bar end links.

  • can you fit 35s under it? without having to cut...

  • You can fit 32s without cutting and 33s with some cutting, but I don't think 35s will fit at all, even with cutting.

  • New full rear spring packs is the only way to go! Especially if your rear end is saggin'. ;)

  • Looks like a D35 to me.

  • Chrysler 8.25 in the rear and D30 in the front.

  • was that a d44?

  • wow looks great with those stock tires on it just kidding

  • It now has 31" M/Ts on it.

  • cherokee deserves at least 33s. wrapped around beadlocks. oh... get a bigger cb antenna. anyways, props man.

  • You like balls dont you!!!

  • Feels like a whole new jeep doesn't it.

  • what kinda of cb radio do u have

  • I like it but it looks sorta rough and You should get some nice offroad wheels

  • did you buy this kit online??... if so did it come with everything you needed or did you have to buy new things such as brake lines...i am interested in getting the same exact one

  • check roughtcountry(dot)com...

I'm gonna Do a 6.5"Lift on my cherokee

then put some 36" Military Tires on it!

    That will be SWEET!!!!

but the 4.5 lift is $499

and the 6.5 lift is $999

    so yeah..

    But i love JEEPS!!!

  • but they offer the slip yoke eliminator and a new driveshaft for 250$ a peice so its a good combo deal

  • You need some tires lol.

  • does it still ride as smooth as it used to?

  • they usually do with lifts...of course I can't vouch for this particular one

  • wats the price on that lift?

  • 690 shipped through topgunzcustoms on ebay, i have the same lift on my xj... still rides pretty well, by no means a cadillac, but not far from stock
