  • Bishop Robinson has an incredible talent for speaking truth to power and reminding the world about the REAL message of Jesus...Thanks Gene.

  • I love stuff, and I really like money too. However, I don't love stuff and money more than I love equivalent opportunity for equivalent ambition.

  • ~~> I love Sermon on the Mounters... End Timers not so much....

  • I agree with all that Bishop Gene says. However, we in the US must be very, very careful when we speak of empowering the poor as most of us who speak these words would include ourselves in the category of the poor when, in fact, we are wealthy "beyond the dreams of avarice" compared to the truly poor of the world. Sharing in the "american dream" is not, as far as I know, a Christian value and its unrelenting pursuit is nothing more than greed.

  • You hit home so many points, which can't be argued with.

  • Awesome response +Gene. Thanks for your input and instruction.

  • This is a honest to goodness miracle!

No, wait! When I hear Pastor Rick Warren parrot the words of Bishop Gene Robinson, that would be really be a miracle!

Say what? Pastor Warren has called on churches worldwide to also focus their efforts on fighting poverty and disease, expanding educational opportunities for the marginalized, and caring for the environment.

Here's your chance Ricky, er I mean Pastor Warren.

  • AMEN! God bless Bishop Robinson for reminding us that economic justice IS a Traditional Biblical Value.

  • wow, great clip. thank you so much.
