@kels94 Chilly Childs wasn't the first to play this tune. Jay Johnson would play this song in his sign-off rotation when he was on radio station WVON. I would always listen just to hear this song. Chilly just picked it up. I just don't when she did.
I remember I first heard this on Smooth F.M about 4 years ago ,recorded it on tape (which ive still got ).Spent up until today trying to find it then remembered you tube. LOVE THIS
PLAY THIS ON A BAD DAY AND YOU WILL FORGET ALL YOUR TROUBLES

"Windy City" had already been quite popular for about 15 years before Norman Jay condescended to play it ! - My mate and I both had the Chi-Sound 7", in early 1977!
I made a point when I visited Chicago of sitting on the rock where the band posed for the album cover back in 1977...It's on the gold coast.Bad album!
First heard this on the radio on a British Airways flight to Barbados, a while ago now. Still sounds just as good today as it did when it first came out.

This version is pretty cool but I believe the 1977 version some of you have mentioned takes the cake.

Wow. I never heard this song before and they played a lot of disco on the radio back then. Sounds very nice. Makes me proud of the "windy city". LOL.
